You are talking about the "Probability" of a single person would be descendent of convict. A la what is the probability of the person I met is going to be a direct descendant of convict. What you are saying will NOT make sense and cannot be used to be the real case because.

1.) You are assuming convict and non-convict to be of 1 to 1, so 1 convict give birth to 1 child and 1 non-Convict give birth to 1 child. That will NOT be the case if that ratio is NOT 1 to 1. i.e. The more children either group has, that titled the probability on that side because you can have more than 1 children per family.

2.) You basically discounted ALL migrant; those are not descendant of Convict and can never be because they mostly are not British. A la, what if the person I met next is from France or Germany or US or China? The probability of them being descendant of Convict is 0.

I am talking about the population percentage of a direct descendant. That's the population representation.

Dude, read what people type before trying to lecture others.....LOL You did not ask whether or not I am a descendant of Convict, you ask whether or not my ancestors were convict.
