The Russian visit

So US signs nuclear deals with us, u r calling us american proxies?
And of course, U r the only one to call us US proxies, i bet even Pakistan's generals call us one, as they know the ground reality well...

1. US have bases in pakistan.
2.There are lot of US intelligence operatives ,operating in pakistan openly.
3.These operatives even kill Pak citizens, yet pay money to go scot free.
4.They conduct drone attacks once in a month or week in pakistan.
5.Pakistan receives AID for both military and common budgets from US.
6.US and NATO soldiers have crossed boundaries and attacked pakistani soldiers there.
7.US agencies darely entered a military town and killed OBL .
8.Pakistan openly asks for a nuclear deal with US , but yet they refuse again and again.
9.Pakistan also gets weapons from US in subsidised rates but US refuses to give predator drone technology.

So pakistan is getting all these favours, but comedily, they calling us, US proxies

Dude, you are missing something critical.. All the points mentioned by you are negated by the fact that Pakistanis come and abuse USA on anonymous forums like this and have people like Zaid Hamid who talk about waging war on USA in Afghanistan :D

I think you are a proxy for Americans. It would appear from that article that some Russians also believes that you are

I think some are forgetting the OP where a Russian believes that Indians are an American puppet and agrees with Pakistanis and Chinese on this matter

A Russian perspective. We are not the only ones to suggest India is seen as American proxy

Russian President-elect Vladimir Putin will, on his first foreign tour after taking office, make his first stop in Pakistan. It symbolizes not just Pakistan’s importance in the region, but the shift in relations which means that the two countries, kept apart for so many years because of Russia’s espousal of Communism, are trying to come together. Russia seeks a new ally in the region, to substitute for India, now in the American lap, after the collapse of the USSR. Mr Putin’s visit shows that Russia intends to play a more proactive role in world affairs. It must do so, because by ceding to US supremacy, it has seen it not just invade Afghanistan physically, but threaten Iran. Russia has found its own physical space threatened by US expansionism, with the expansion of Nato threatening it in the West, the snatching away of India and the occupation of Afghanistan threatening it in Asia. The visit is a result of the successful visits to Russia by President Asif Zardari, in August 2010 for the Quadrilateral Summit, and by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar earlier this year.

Russia had previously tried to make headway in Pakistan through the Steel Mills project, and now it has offered to be involved in the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project. This is an offer that Pakistan must not hesitate to take up. While Pakistan's official 'ally' has done its best to sabotage the project, and has insisted India withdraw from it, Russia is extending a helping hand. Unlike the steel mills, the pipeline from Iran is existential, providing as it will, gas not just for domestic and industrial users, but also for power production. Thus not just for strategic concerns, but national interest should incline Pakistan towards Russia. However, as strategic concerns include Afghanistan, which Russia has been deeply interested in for a very long time, Russia would also be interested in how Pakistan sees the future of Afghanistan.

It should also be recognized that Russia has a deep interest in the reset in relations between the USA and Pakistan that is presently being discussed by the joint sitting of Parliament. Russia too has seen that the US has not just gained access to South Asia through Pakistan, but also Central Asia. As Russia is seeking an ally in the region to substitute for India, and as Pakistan is distanced from the USA, Russia is naturally more interested in Pakistan than ever before. President Putin’s visit, the first ever by a Russian President to Pakistan, reflects that.

Russian PM set to visit Pakistan

Internews/Lahore

After a prolonged period of “hibernation” in international relations, Russian Federation is flexing its muscles to assume a proactive role in world politics, especially in the South Asian region.
President-elect Vladimir Putin, who is currently serving as prime minister of Russia, will embark on his official visit to Pakistan after taking his oath scheduled for May, making it the first-ever visit by any Russian president.
According to diplomatic sources, the two foreign offices are giving final shape to this visit and a precise date is expected next month.
Pakistan would be on top of the list of countries Putin would be visiting this year after he assuming the office of president, as part of Russian efforts to initiate an assertive role in world affairs yet again.
During their interaction presidents of Russia and Pakistan would review Iran-Gas Pipeline Project (IGPP) in terms of its financing besides finding other avenues of mutual co-operation.
Sources in the Foreign Office revealed that issues relating to renovation and expansion of the Pakistan Steel Mills, upgrading of the Railways tracks, and projects in the energy and education sectors are also expected to come under discussion.
Russia would certainly like to enhance its influence in the region since US has totally fallen into the lap of India. Pakistan’s tilt towards Russia too seems to be the outcome of this new-found understanding between India and the US as the latter has decided to assign the former a significant role in Afghanistan setting aside its old ally Pakistan.
Both Russia and China have already endorsed Iran’s right to nuclear technology and have opposed US sanctions against Iran. And closeness between the Russia and Pakistan is being considered essential to maintain balance of power in the region.
With China already on Pakistan’ side, the warmth between Islamabad and Moscow would certainly set the balance.
So if Pakistan is looking for finding a new ally in the form of Russia after successive betrayals by the US on different occasions, the latter is also seeing the visit as a window of opportunity to regain its lost influence in the south Asian region following its defeat in Afghanistan, and with India - once its trusted ally hobnobbing with the US.
Putin’ visit to Pakistan is coming on the heels of Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar’s visit to Russia in February this year.
Earlier, President Zardari visited Moscow in August 2010 when he went there to participate in the four-nation summit between Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Russia.
As a result of President Zardari’s meeting with Russian President Medvedev, Pakistan and Russia agreed to convene the inaugural session of the Russia-Pakistan Inter-Governmental Commission which was held the following month to further streamline economic co-operation between the two countries.

Innocent till proven guilty, but u r good at it, also I think u r reading too much into this visit, Zardari called to wish him on his victory and invited him to come visit Pakistan to which he said that he will come and let him know the dates somewhere in September. And if whatever u imply is true then great for Pakistan. Atleast u can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

In a country, there will be pro and against authors , and thats the beauty of democracy.
As far as u know, Russia have interest in afghanistan, and answer to stable Afghan lies in AF.Pak region, so it needs to improve relations with u...
But not at India's cost...
Even now some 2billion $ of artillery and tank ammo deals have gone into russia's hands...
50 years of hardcore friendship cannot be whiled away in 2 year time..
And u r forgetting that vladimir putin is the most vocal supporter of india in russia than medvedev...
For many , they know who bought US into asia, they know who are US proxies...
And our meetings with russia take place yearly...This year Putin will come to india, and next year MMS will visit moscow...Its a process which continues year after year
