Jewish right to return after thousands of years is totally absurd. However reality that is more important is that today Jews are there, and after that there is no point in denying/awarding any such recognition which is secondary.

However If I were PLO or Hamas, or any other Palestinian organization, I would gladly recognize every Jewish right to return, in exchange for 'Arab right to return' and a peaceful and Just settlement of Palestinian dispute.

The Jews aren't tolerated anywhere else for long and bought their way back, save for "state" land that belonged to the Ottomans, not the Arabs.

The Treaty of Sevres and the British Mandate of Palestine both specified that the civil and property rights of Arabs and Jews were to be respected regardless of their location. This the Israelis have honored and the Arabs have not: Arab refugees in the Mandate area surrendered their civil and property rights under Ottoman law and practice when they fled to the camps of the Arab armies; those Arabs who remained in peace with the Jews remained and still remain unmolested, while all Jews have been evicted from the territories of the Arab states. That the Israelis temper justice with mercy shows in their great willingness to provide charity to the descendants of the Arab refugees today, despite the hate that is instilled in so many of them. Thus it's likely wrong to think that if you switched sides the Arabs would suffer unduly.

So what you're stuck with is this: "a peaceful and just settlement" requires 100% agreement with the Zionists and 0% agreement with anti-Zionist Arabs. For far too many Arabs do not wish to remain at peace with the Jews and never countenanced treating Jews justly, but as people to be robbed or murdered, whichever feels most convenient at a particular moment.

One more point: since the Mandate envisioned that the Jews would remain in place throughout the Middle East yet Arabs could not tolerate this, the logical "land-for-peace" solution is to endorse making Israel bigger, not smaller: to drive home to the Israel-haters that they're a bunch of losers, to assure the Jews of greater security, and to provide future generations of Jews room for a home despite being surrounded by vicious and envious cousins. That's the approach that turned Nazi Germany into the comparatively peaceful Germany of today - and the leaders of anti-Zionist Arabs are little other than the ideological descendants of Hitler's Arab Allies.
