Arabs regimes certainly have shown a lack of strategic planning, unlike Iran and Hezbollah. Many years ago in an interview the former Israeli ambassador to Germany Avi Primor said "In the muslim world only the fighters matter, not the end results"....he didn't elaborate, but he said it with a very big smile on his face....
Well, and he is absolutely right. When someone fights, Muslims adore him, they don't care if that fighting supports their cause of actually harms it...no, he fights, that's all that matters!
And since a very long time Israelis very cleverly use that to their own advantage!
Muslims are just too dumb and emotional to see the big picture...
But in the Palestinians' defence, most of the Arab world has already abandoned them and they have virtually no power vis-a-vis their occupier (Zionist Israel). They are stuck between a rock and a hard place; whatever move they take, they lose.
What did Hamas get for backstabbing Iran and Syria to support terrorists in Syria? Did they win favour from the Arab regimes of the Persian Gulf? No, instead those regimes recognised "Israel" unilaterally and Iran is still the only country arming and funding them. Just terrible strategic thinking and decision making.
