The Han Chinese don't care. Their political views are represented by the government.

The Tibetans and Uighurs are probably disadvantaged if they are outspoken, but it's their choice.

If you find it Orwellian then wait a few decades. China is clearly more liberal today than in the past. The trend will continue, because all societies that became wealthier tend to become more liberal over time.

If the credit score can affect citizen's living - buying a house with lower interest rate, much more easier to apply for credit card, higher reputation - people will really start to care about and obey the social rules, so we can build a real "civilized and law" society. I heard they say administrative penalty or neglect of red light when crossing the street will also have effect on credit socre. I strongly support it since it's a lot easier for us to examine clients' real credit history rather than bogus materials.

:rolleyes:I dont know such things,like what Beijingwalker says,never heard about it.
But it's good if it's true.

(off topic:Why u keep ignoring me while u tag me?)

How did I ignore you?

Also, the issue is not of today. Any Government, especially with incredible power over everything, can become corrupt, inefficient, and abuse power.

Hence checks and balances are very important.

:confused:After further development(like being a developed country) maybe some changes may come.
But,of course,it's impossible now..

Guys it's Sesame Credit the Western media is talking about. lol.

In China, credit score is now affected by friends' activism

This Chinese credit score, which seemed innocent at first, was introduced this summer. More precisely, it was introduced by Alibaba and Tencent, China’s IT giants who run the Chinese equivalents of all social networks, and who therefore have any and all data about you. People can download an app named “Sesame Credit” from the Alibaba network, and the score has become something of a bragging contest, being interpreted as a kind of “citizen status” – and not entirely falsely so. Almost 100,000 people have posted their “status” online on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.
Sesame Credit!!! Be aware!!!
:lol::lol::lol:.
