Wrong. The practice ended with Islam. Jauhar was a practice which predated Islam by thousands of years. It was a famous practice of the Rajput clans in their internecine wars. Many weaker Rajput clans were finished from this practice.

Jauhar is mentioned once during Alexander's time and then only on Rajasthan and one isolated event in Karnataka. Hindu women were so Islamophobic that they killed themselves rather live.
