The Health and Fitness Thread

That's one of the reasons why I have to force myself to go to the gym, Sir. Otherwise I'll just eat and eat and excuse it. I do have a very fast BMR, so i have to eat enough. One thing that helps is the fiber; i've been starting with spinach and kale -- a new for me. So far, really good , it really fills me up fast and i have been able to control my predilection for cookies and ...my ultimate sin of sin....red velvet cake....:(:(:(:mad:
If i was an ectomorph, i would have done carb loading like a freak.. even my protien scoop would have glucose [galaxoseD] in a 2:1 ratio by weight 50 gm carbs,25 protein

Then I think I am an endomorph who's between a gynoid and even distribution !

I am short, I've got broad shoulders, I gain weight very...very.....very.....very easily, I've got a fairly strong and realtively bigger lower body and I haven't had a respectable 6 pack even during my low fat diet and heavy lifting days ! :undecided:


Granted that @DESERT FIGHTER is into manicures, yoga, regular visits to the sauna and the occasional mud mask but something tells me that he isn't a lady so as to fit any of the above ! :undecided:

Well, don't sweat it , old chap. Being genetically shaped that way, you need to embrace your body type and just adopt a healthy long term body managment so you stay healthy. You know one of my good friends back in my high school days is 5'8, and weighs 210 lbs (yes, big , right?). But the thing is he is genetically shaped that way. He runs 3 miles a day, and is an active cyclist and partakes on cycling marathons at least 3 times a year, he eats healthily. His heart rate is normal, his blood pressure is around 120/80, his respiration rate is normal.

Sometimes people are just born the way they are; and being a particular rize doesn't necessarily mean they are over eating.

One of the interesting caveats in nutritional health...

Very true sir. Nowadays the risk of gestational diabetes is all to real and its not just the mother who is at risk for DM, but also the child who will be affected because of it.

30 min treadmill, divide the basic 7 compound exercises in 2 days= 25 minutes


you will see a clear difference in 2 months granted your caloric deficit from deit is already 500 calories

I am 5'8....I'm closer to 90 kgs...I've laid off working out for a while now so I think a slight pot belly is there in the making :( but otherwise I am fit and not fat despite the weight ! :)

But my blood pressure is usually high....as high as 140/90 + due to me being allergic to some foods and my inability to lay-off them 'cause they're so damn tasty ! :undecided:
