In 4 months .. from 110 kg to 90 kg while retaining most of my muscle from bulking phase

need to shed several more kg to get to my ideal athletic weight

no simple sugars in any form were taken... only complex carbs

proteins were 70gram / day --- based on 70kg lean body wt target [ 90kg total body wt target]

lifted heavy explosive 30 minutes --- jogging 40 minutes = 4-5 days/week

20 kg in 4 months? i can lose 3-4 in a week ... with cardio and cutting back on soft drinks etc.

Eat healthy bro. That was the thing for me -- i eat more healthy carbohydrates (whole grain, wheat, flax, nuts , green leafy veggies), eat only healthy fats (monounsaturated , omega-3, 7s) and limit intake of saturated fat to less than 20 gs per day. As for protein, it really as much (maybe about 50-60 g) a day since Protein isn't really an energy source per se compared to carbohydrates. In fact, excessive intake of protein can promote ketongesis. I've been following the MFG (Mediterranean food guide)....its great ! Check it out !

My diet :

Meat,pulao (rice with meat),BBQ,Junk food (love cheese),meat with veggies... meat... lol that didnt work out well ... i got this wierd thing... with weird rings appearing on the palm of my hand- itched like hell... so i reduced the meat consumption...

I dont really follow any diet.. im 6ft tall and weight a shit alot- 87 kg ... i was once over 104kg...

Gotta reduce another 12-15 kgs... can do that in 2 months tops!

Diet:

mostly BBQ (and bread or flat bread)- no fizzy drinks. (1 day free for all :lol: )
Cardio - 6-7 km (7 days a week)
gym routine... sauna bath? (havent tried it since years)..

Since you're tall , being at around 87 kgs isn't bad at all, especially if most of that weight is in the muscles or your bones. We're all genetically designed to look one way-- either we are ectomorphs , endomorphs, or mesomorphs. For me i'm an ectomorph, but just trying to add more weight. Its all about healthy, long term, body management, bro. Looks like you have a good appetite with you, the only thing i'll recommend for you is to eat more fiber; green leafy veggies, or apple, grapefruit, carrots or any fiber based food. Its good because it will increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate) because it will encourage greater peristaltic activity --- means you'll have a healthy fecal activity, plus, its great for our colon health ---- this is important for us men.

Keep it up man. And remember, its all about long term , healthy body managment.

I am 6 ft 2inch -- didnt have any fast food/ simple carbs/processed food this whole time
multivitamin tab, efa [fish oil] , triflex were supplemented along with 2 scoops protein.. one optimum 100% whey gold st and the other was dymatize protein gormet blend which tastes crap but dymatize is one of the few companies which dont do amino spiking in protein powders and is gmp certified -- this powder has calcium otherwise I take calcium supplement aswell

I also cut down on rice.. significantly

water melons helped a lot

I dunno what the meso, endo, ecto thing is but I can tell you that I gain a few pounds just by looking at a cheese cake...never mind actually eating one ! :undecided:

That's one of the reasons why I have to force myself to go to the gym, Sir. Otherwise I'll just eat and eat and excuse it. I do have a very fast BMR, so i have to eat enough. One thing that helps is the fiber; i've been starting with spinach and kale -- a new for me. So far, really good , it really fills me up fast and i have been able to control my predilection for cookies and ...my ultimate sin of sin....red velvet cake....:(:(:(:mad:
