BD can be termed as Bangladesh Corporation as media here speak in one voice and similar tone as democracy is absent and freedom of expression absent.
However, newspapers in India enjoy full freedom to express their opinions without the fear of getting hijacked and killed which is the case in BD.
So, Hindustan Times could publish the article without the fear of Modi backlash. India is a democracy and it developed with the use of its own human assets.
Can we claim the same for BD a fascist and autocrat country?
@bluesky bhai,
While press freedom in Bangladesh is bad, it is not a lot worse than in India under the Modi administration. Here is a map of press freedoms around the world. 2022 Press Freedom Index https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_Freedom_Index#/media/File:Press_freedom_2022.svg
In 2020, India's press freedom rank dropped to 142 out of 180 countries in Press Freedom Index, an annual ranking of countries published by Reporters Without Borders (RWB), an international non-governmental organization dedicated to safeguard the right to freedom of information.
