What's new

The Era of Dog Fight returns. Feb 2019 has announced to the world.

Yes it did. The Mi-17 crashed at Budgam but why cannot a Mig-21 also crash at Budgam while taking off from the base. Pakistani strike party was in the area and they had missiles with that range?

This is their own news channel. I am just connecting the dots here.

The Big issue I have is where is Abhinandan's wing man. I find no news about him.

There is alot that happened that day and we don't know every thing. I said in very first line in OP that I might be wrong but thing is there is much missing here than news available.

I said before I could be totally wrong but they reported Nasarullah pora mig-21 crash them selves.

I am just connecting the dots any input will help @alee92nawaz

So in all this chasing and being chased story, the Mig21 kept its missiles safe for another fight ? If they were that close then why the BVR missiles were never lauche. I mean it was like catch me or i'll catch you but we won't use the missiles and then JF17 thunder broke the deal ?

When would he have released the missiles? If the Mig21 never knew of the JF-17's presence before its RWR started squealing and his MAWS started belching, if it never saw it before it was already at its six, if it never had the JF-17 on its nose, if it never got the radar lock, if there was no positive tone from its IR seeker, should the Mig just have launched its missiles for kicks? You think the Mig saw the JF-17 coming from a 100Km? You think they both approached each other head on for miles and then whizzed past each other at a couple of feet, close enough to wink at each other? You think the Mig would have kept on coming if it had spotted the PAF package? According to the Indians he couldn't even hear his controller warning him not to cross the LOC. According to the Wg Cdr, he was searching for his target when he was hit.

Certain perimeters need to be met before you launch any ordinance, especially A2A missiles.

I was replying to someone else without quoting him in a different context. Sorry my mistake. He was saying that it was a WVR fight and in that response i said that why they never used missiles if it was a WVR fight. Me also believes that it was a BVR and JF17 thunder locked it before it knew what happened.

I cannot tell it is real because this whole info over Kashmir skies is classified from both sides. I have made this assessment based to early reports of the events before the propaganda machine kicked in from Indian side. I know for real that JF-17 can out maneuver Mig-21 bison in a horizontal roll. Electronic warfare was heavily used over Kashmir and Abhinandan went supersonic towards south west and I have seen image of jets in a horizontal sharp right turn over Kashmir sky of 2 jets. There was a MIG-21 crash over Budgam from where Abhinandan took of and Abhinandan was missing a wing man and he was solo. Mi-17 helicopter of IAF was shutdown over Budgam by their own ground asset due to friend and foe being Jammed by EW suites. This is the reconstruction of all the info I can accumulate. You can call it a fiction or reality as you like but it is something we will never know. So this is the best explanation I can come up with.

@MastanKhan might help more with this.
My sources tell it was F 16s which ahot down both planes

Hi,

Thank you for that informative post---.

People should never forget---it is war---and in war---anything can happen. When a single soldier can charge a machine gun post unscathed when hundreds of bullets are flying around---then a WVR combat can happen in the dominant BVR campaign---.

The lesson learnt is---never take anything for granted in war---.

Now---on another note---I had written many a times---the JF17 never showed its true capabilities in the air shows---the take off and climb with its wheels down was a clear signal that it did not want to show its power---.

Now some of you have seen it on or before the 23rd march parade---.

Last must not the least---

Please refrain from calling names to Wing Commander Abhinandan---. He is an extremely brave soldier.

How can you tell if a soldier is brave---when he crosses onto the enemies side to fight---that is what he did---.

After he parachuted down---he acted like a true soldier and raised the slogan of his nation---he then tried to escape---even when he was beaten by civilians---he did not beg or plead for mercy---any and all conversation that he had---he acted professional---respectful---and showed no fear---.

Wing Commander Abhinandan must be shown the respect on this forum deserving a brave enemy soldier---.
We must show him respect since he gave us Mig-Bison for cup of tea and showed his bravery by saying sorry Sir....It is clear that he did't know that he crossed into baba yaga's backyard since blinders jam the bloody radios and despite his handler call him back he failed to respond.

Blinder plane is of Dassult but what about EWM are these also Dassult fitted?

Hahaha. So just like a man who amazingly jumped in raging river to save a girl, he might also be asking questions afterwards like "mujhy dhaka kis ne dia tha?"

I'm waiting for the press briefing by the PAF.

Never going to happen. Whoever told you, was disseminating disinformation

I stopped sharing information and let disinformation grow as per official policy :D
Things haven’t cooled down yet once they cool down then we can think of giving real information .

:D
@Dazzler @The Eagle I ........

Why this disinformation campaign sounds eerily similar to 2012 kamra base attack. PAF hid loss of 1 destroyed and 2 damaged SAAB erieye and let the disinformation grew by showing one active SAAB as everything is okay. Until a year or so after the attack, Secretary defense admitted in Parliament that PAF lost an Erieye in the attack.
