The defeat of the Afghan government sparks debates across Taiwan about if Taiwan will become the same

Afghanistan is to gain access to central Asia, in the end they cannot justify the cost of defending Afghanistan so they quit.
Honestly, what's in Central Asia that's of so much value to the rest of the world? Everyone is talking about access to Central Asia, there is no fountain of youth in there, it's a bunch of Russian satellite states with some natural resources. with a population as same as Chinese Hebei province.

.
Taiwan is a different story. Afghanistan is not worth to defend, Taiwan is. Afghanistan has nothing in terms of economic value while TW has everything. Biden bluntly says it, the strategic goal of the US in Hindukusch is to fight terrorism not nation building.

It is a shame and very strange that for "No Economic Value" US spent close to 3 trillion dollars.
Defeats your argument squarely.

The defeat of the Afghan government after the withdrawal of U.S. forces and flight of the president has sparked discussion in Taiwan about what would happen in the event of a PRC'S invasion

Taiwan would not collapse like Afghanistan, premier says

Taiwan : Who are you?
China : I am you, but stronger

TSMC has already divested over in America, if Taiwan falls guess what gets bombed first?

By certain estimates, Afghanistan alone has trillions of dollars worth of mineral resources. So I guess trade and those rare earth mineral resources drive these superpowers crazy. Lucky, Pakistan can now get hold of them.

Every other country has trillions of worth of natural resources the key is to extract it economically. REM is even hard to extract only a handful of countries even are doing it. Not sure what a terrorist controlled state is going to do with any of it. Even with trillions of worth of Oil reserves Nigeria failed to exploit it.

This is the difference between Indian thinking and rest of the world if you can't see the significance of Central Asia. He who controls this part controls both East & West.

.
Did you just looked at the mirror and flexing your viets muscle again?
Sry, with 6,70s weapon in stock, cellphone communication, army focus on running business....the outcome.:disagree:
Bro, our greatest asset is our intellectual capacity. Weapons are just nice add-on.

You're right if we were in 12th century.

Intellect but unable to developed anything, sounds reasonable, maybe because your army has shifted all focus onto their business.

Whats this then? Are they dogs as well?

We should do our best to prepare for the worst possible situation.
We will never be optimistic that the USA will not intervene to CCP liberate Taiwan. So we will do this patiently:
1. Build an economy twice that of the USA.
2. Build the PLN stronger than the USN.
3. Build a nuclear arsenal no worse than that of the USA.

.
South Korea? Kuwait?:what:
Are you honestly going to use the example of when the PLA inflicted the longest retreat in US military history on America as an example? And do you think a PRC invasion of Taiwan is going to be comparable to Saddam's invasion of Kuwait?

For the record, I believe the US would defend Taiwan. The thing is, you'll just get your a*s whipped. It won't be a 20 year slog like in Afghanistan either - mercifully for you, whatever's left of your navy and air force after the initial 30 minutes of Rocket Force barrages will be deleted in a week.

1. Hajjigak area in Bamian province of Afghanistan has world-class large iron ore, which can let the Chinese say goodbye to the iron ore in Australia.

2. Afghanistan's Anak copper mine is likely to be the world's largest copper mine, and China has been short of copper mine.

3. Afghanistan has the richest lithium ore in the world, which is an important material for new energy batteries. The lithium mine in Afghanistan is a strategic asset most valued by the Chinese people.

If the Taliban can ensure the safety of China's investment, I think Afghanistan can achieve a long-term growth rate of 12 ~ 20%. We can refer to the growth rate of Mongolia when China invests in Mongolia on a large scale. Afghanistan has more mines than Mongolia.
