Not exactly nor is it a huge compliment - the F-22 was designed with concepts of the late 80s and early 90s. If anything, most stealth aircraft heading operational are “inspired” one way or the other by it.Of all active and in development stealth fighters around the globe, TAI Kaan is the one which resembles F-22 most. Which is a huge compliment.

Because the approach is a good conceptual formula baseline and then it is made as tailored for each country. Be it the Boramae or even concepts in the J-20, the F-22 “inspires” them all.. and its smaller sibling the F-35.
Truly revolutionary will be the Tempest, the FCAe and the NGAD aircraft.
That doesn’t mean the Kaan wont be a fine aircraft - but it isn’t something revolutionary where combat aircraft are concerned
America/China designing their 5th gen fighter jets with all their own parts including engine is different to Turkey designing a '5th gen' with mostly critical foreign purchased parts including engine. As far as i know Turkey didnt even have an indiginous developed 4th gen fighter, and jumped straight to 5th gen fighter.
Thats is a huge leap and i admire Turkeys confidence and resolve. They have designed a aircraft that resemble f-22, which until recently has been the best stealth fighter jet from its inception, and still is a very potent air superiority fighter.
That is a huge accomplishment. Though F-22 has been surpassed by other 5th gen aircrafts like F-35 and J-20 in certain aspects like electronics etc.
Would you say there is a good chance unmanned drones like Kizilelma, Anka, sukhoi s-70 would become the 6th generation fighter jets after 2030s. They will ofcourse be upgraded by 2030s or newer designs. Not exactly nor is it a huge compliment - the F-22 was designed with concepts of the late 80s and early 90s. Kaan resembles the F-35 WAY more than the F-22. Kaan looks like a bigger, twin-engined F-35. Look at the horizontal tail, vertical tail, aileron+flap, leading-edge flap, everything is similar to F-35 and very different from F-22.
Kardesim, you seem to think that I was implying that Kaan was an F-35 copy or something. I can assure you that I was not; I was responding to the members that were saying it looked most like the F-22. Trust me when I say this that I am probably one of the last people on this forum who you will need to convince of what goes on Kaan, in which blocksView attachment 942196

-- KAAN will be autonomous .. The pilot can leave the task entirely to KAAN
Artificial Intelligence Co-pilot
-- KAAN to have auto pilot technology ... ( Pilot Health Tracking )
if the Pilot faints , TFX can return to the base and land on
Technologies planned in the design of the KAAN but not in the F-35
• Directional Infrared Counter Measures .. ( Aselsan YILDIRIM DIRCM)
• Supercruise ..... ( Supersonic flight without afterburner )
• 360° AESA Radar coverage
• IRST infrared search and track system .. ( DAS on the F-35 can not mark )
And KAAN is a different aircraft from the F-22
-- Sensor fusion with EOTS , IRST with unique configuration
-- 360-degree vision with AI-enhanced battlefield awareness.
-- BEOS/EOTS (Advanced optical Systems)
-- HMDS (Helmet Display System) .. only F-35 and KAAN
-- Locking on to enemy aircraft from all directions
-- IRST Infrared Sensor
-- Artificial Intelligence Co-pilot
-- Pilot Health Tracking
-- DIRCM Laser countermeasure
-- 360° AESA Radar
-- 4 AESA radars will cover the hole KAAN
( 2 on the wings, propulsion between the engines, and the nose)
F-22 lacks EOTS , IRST , GaN AESA Radar , HMDS (Helmet Display System) , DIRCM Laser countermeasure , Artificial Intelligence Co-pilot , 360° AESA Radar coverage and Pilot Health Tracking
TEMPEST and FCAS projects are for 2040s

and in 2030-2040s KAAN will have also new technologies .. ( more than 5th gen )
-- advanced stealth airframes and avionics
-- advanced digital capabilities including high-capacity networking, AI, data fusion
-- battlefield command, control and communications (C3) capabilities
-- virtual cockpits presented via helmet-mounted displays which allow the pilot 360-degree vision with AI-enhanced battlefield awareness
-- Increased-range stand-off and BVR weapons ( GOKHAN ramjet powered long range networked a2a missile )
-- directed-energy weapon laser CIWS ( Aselsan YILDIRIM-100 DIRCM )
-- Multi-layered distributed team capability of diverse manned aircraft working in concert with unmanned types .. full data-to-decision (D2D) capability
( optionally manned, with the same airframe capable of conducting piloted, remote controlled or onboard-AI controlled missions )
Turkiye has great unmanned technologies to turn KAAN into optionally unmanned in 2030s

Also in 2030s Turkish unmanned stealth Fighter Jets for the future of tactical air combat
KAAN - KIZILELMA - ANKA-3 and SUPER SIMSEK that distributed team will operate with each one with their own unique roles
View attachment 942141
KIZILELMA will have 2 engined variant in 2030s
-- bigger and advanced stealth airframe
-- 2 x TF-10.000 turbofan engines for supersonic cruise
-- AESA Radar , EOTS , data-link for high-capacity networking and data fusion
-- AI ( Artificial intelligence technology )
-- internal weapon bay for stealth flight capability
-- advanced and Increased-range stand-off and BVR weapons ( GOKHAN ramjet powered long range networked a2a missile )
even BAYKAR will appear with more advanced unmanned stealth Fighter Jet designs in 2030s
KIZILELMA is just the beginning on our journey

China's first ‘fifth-generation’ jet’s engine was also outsourced with a foreign made Lyulka-Saturn AL-31 variant, no to mention all the reported claims of Chinese espionage for stealing critical designs of American F-35 jets and not entirely indigenous as you claimed.America/China designing their 5th gen fighter jets with all their own parts including engine is different to Turkey designing a '5th gen' with mostly critical foreign purchased parts including engine.
