This is understandable, and I think this is truly a delicate balance of being humanitarian towards foreigner interests, and also the mandate of any government to safeguard the people whom they represent. In the end the Leaders of Europe have to outweigh who is more important: The security of over 500 million European citizens or to accommodate 2+ million refugees from the Middle East/ Africa.

This is not an easy issue. In fact is very hard, and the leaders of the EU have to make this call.

I agree that it is very hard politically. But the right thing to do is very clear. Accept refugees as per the international law. Push them back to their countries once things settle down. All these countries gleefully signed up for the humanitarian law and waved it in other countries' faces when they refused refugees. Now is the time to walk the talk.

This will also build up consensus to do the most practical thing to stabilize Syria.

Also do not forget the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. For such a small country, they are hosting close to half a million refugees.

It is more than 1.5 million now, my friend. It was 1.5 million back in 2014 and early 2015. It is close to 3 million Now.

It is every country's duty as per law(in most cases) to host refugees when their home country is unlivable. The practicalities of the hosting process, whether it is because of size as in Jordan's case or because of 'security threat' as in Euro's case are secondary. Refusing refugees is obviously a country's sovereign right though and Turkey and Jordan are taking huge burden out of their kindness.

As one who has studied ISLAM and has followed Sufism poetry and philosophy , I know what Islam is and what Islam is not. DAESH is not Islam, they are heretics, that is what they are. And i call them for what they are, they are radical heathenous heretics who nit pick quotes from Scripture (the Holy Quran). They are no different than the great heresies of Christendom such as the Jansenism, Gnosticism and what not.

The only way to challenge ISIS, my friend, is a reflective and introspective religious and spiritual re-awakening in Islam, and by Leaders of Islam in the Muslim World.

What is needed, my friend, is a counter spiritual and political ideology. A Muslim version of the Christian Reformation, which had happened in the 16th century.

But does Turkey have camps to accommodate 3 million Syrian refugees? Then why not confine them there? Why let them cross your country and into the West?

It is not ISIS policy to do the same. They do not demand loyalty to the extent of killing family. Say anything about ISIS. But whatever they did so far has some logic and rationale. If they hanged people it is because some Islamic text allows hanging for so and so crimes. IMO they are following Islam meticulously. Which version of Islam? Don't ask me. They seem to have a pretty good idea. They killed their own men when they crossed their law:

Let me ask you, why? Why in this age of modernity and age of information, why is this still happening?

I have met so many beautiful , kind, and lovely Muslims in my years in this life. I have befriended an Imam when i went to study at UC , and when i studied at Rutgers for my PH.D. I been to inter-faith gatherings between Muslims, Jews, Christians in college campus. Why is it that this cannot bee done in the Middle East?

You are very confused.According to international law refugees should be received if they come from war torn zones but they are coming in Europe from safe countries such as Turkey.A refugee is a refugee up until the first safe country,after that he's an illegal immigrant.Such is the case with the rable poring into Europe looking for hand outs right now.

Never said isis is asking them to kill their families but such people are there in this organization, its just a fact.
And about isis being islamic, well on the other hand they have been banning islamic celebrations which are traditions for centuries, not that im an expert on it but also breaking tons of islamic rules.

Only because isis says they have a codex doesnt mean its the truth, those are the words of terrorists after all.

Please don't blame the Western press that much. I have seen advertisements(might be UNHCR) with similar pics asking for donations.

But yes, Europe is making a big deal about it. That is what I am hoping they will stop and accept some refugees.
It is in Turkey's interest to keep a control on refugees movements. After all you would want these people to go back to their countries soon.
