I have posted the original text of Bukhari (in Arabic) with reference. The Hadith clearly mentions that Holy Prophet PBUH ordered becuase he used to hurt the Apostle of ALLAH.
In order to say that he was never retaliated for personal insults, you need to come up with the proves from Sunnah and elderly scholar books. And the words of Hadith are crystal clear. The Prophet PBUH mentioned that Ka'ab has caused hurting sentiments which may include both the personal insults as well as his treacherous nature and alliance with the enemies.
The Holy Quran clearly condemns those who annoy ALLAH and his Prophet PBUH in strongest terms. It is mentioned in Surah Al Ahzab: verse 57.
Translation:
Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment. Quran 33:57
Here, it is clearly mentioned that ALLAH curse those who commit such kind of act in both lives of the perpetrators and ALLAH has prepared punishment for them in hereafter.
There are many "scholars" who claim that Hadeed references regarding the killing of some people on the hand companions of the Holy Prophet PBUH are contradictory to what Quran teaches. My question is where does the Quran rules that such people should not be punished and there is no need to take any action against them ?
While many scholars have mentioned in their Tafseer books that Verse clarifies that blasphemer should be deprived of any kind of goodness and Ibn E Abbas goes to the extant the person should be killed.
There are many other example in Quran where ALLAH swt says he will curse the perpetrators of different offenses and crimes but does that mean ALLAH forbids the state and governments to make law against those crimes too ?
The ruling which you demand for blasphemy directly from the Quran will make it a Hadood Law. So clearly Blasphemy is not included in the Hadood laws. But Islamic states are free to introduces laws to curb such crimes. There are many historical examples. Besides Majority of Muslim is united on the point of punishment to the blasphemer which makes it as case of Ijtihad, the practice which is perfectly in accordance with established Islamic Islamic jurisprudence procedures..
What you need o do is to prove is that Blasphemy is tolerable offense in Islam and ALLAH clearly forbids taking any against the perpetrators on institutional levels. Siting the example where the offence is condemned by Quran without giving Hadood laws for it is a different debate.
So nothing in the Holy Qur'an then that proves what you are saying. Okay cheers. You are also insinuating that words can hurt the Allah Ta'ala as well as the Rasool (saw). In the verses I presented, Allah Ta'ala is telling the holy Prophet (saw) to ignore their words. Are you now saying nauzibillah that the holy Prophet (saw) will command his followers to do something that he is commanded by Allah ta'ala to not do?
