The scrapping of Article 370 of the Constitution was the first step towards meeting the objective of "Akhand Bharat" and the next step would be to take back the Azad Kashmir, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said on Saturday.

"It will happen in phases. The first thing is that Jammu and Kashmir which was somewhat not in the mainstream, has been holistically connected to India," Mr Madhav said while he was addressing the participants of "Chhatra Sansad" in Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan.

"Our next objective is to take back the Indian land which is under illegal occupation of Pakistan," he added, pointing out that a resolution to take back Azad Kashmir had been passed by the Parliament in 1994.

The senior BJP leader said the 20th century India was a "romantic and reticent" nation, carrying the dreams of a newly independent people, but the current generation is pragmatic and ambitious.

"The 21st century Bharat is different from the 20th century Bharat that was romantic and reticent as it had dreams of newly independent people and was ruled by freedom fighters. But the 21st century Bharat is pragmatic, pro-active and ambitious as it belongs to the youth," he said

In that, Mr. Ram Madhav is correct.

The hopeful and wonderful song Hindi "Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein" from 1961 echoes this sentiment. It even has this line "Man has reached the moon".

but the current generation is pragmatic and ambitious.

This is incorrect. A large portion of the current youth among the Hindus and Muslims have given themselves to Regressive religious ideology. One should note the youth membership in groups / movements like Bajrang Dal and Tableeghi Jamaat. This is different from earlier decades when lots of youth were members of Progressive movements.

BJP ruled India is best thing happened to anti India lobby in Pakistan. During Congress rule, we used to give examples of indian democracy and economy to bring democracy in Pak along with peace with India.
