Türkiye, Çin füzesinden vazgeçebilir

İngiliz haber ajansı Reuters'a demeç veren bir Türk yetkili, Ankara'nın 26 Eylül'de CPMIEC firmasının ürettiği HQ-9 sisteminin ihraç türevi olan FD-2000'i füze savunma sistemi olarak seçmesine yönelik kararını değiştirebileceğini söyledi. Adı açıklanmayan yetkili, Çinli firmanın, 3.4 milyar dolarlık anlaşmanın şartlarını yerine getirmemesi nedeniyle Türk tarafının kararından vazgeçebileceğini belirtti.

Batı tepkiliydi

Başta ABD olmak üzere NATO üyesi ülkeler,Türkiye'nin NATO'nun savunma sistemine Çin füzelerini dahil etme planına büyük tepki göstermişti. Amerikan Kongresi, tepki olarak Çin füze sistemlerinin NATO'nun savunma sistemlerine entegrasyonunu yasaklayan bir tasarıyı kabul etmişti. Türkiye'nin Çin'den vazgeçmesi halinde, ihalede ikinci en düşük teklifi veren İtalyan-Fransız konsorsiyumu Eurosam'a yönelebileceği yorumları yapılıyor.

Russians do offer ToT and local production, it is up to whether the customer deems it necessary or not. But I'm not sure if it covers every field. China didn't recieve any ToT for SAMs from Russia AFAIK.

Well China is far away and Turkey doesnt affect them in any way while Russia doesnt want a strong Turkey in Caucasus as a rival.

As Turkey prolongs the negotiations for a missile deal with a Chinese defense firm, China has said it disapproves of politicization of the issue, amid mounting criticism from Ankara's Western allies over implications of such military cooperation with a non-NATO country in a critical field.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hua Chunying said China regards the deal as a commercial deal between a Chinese defense firm and Turkey's relevant institution. Therefore, he said, the Chinese government is firmly against the politicization of a commercial deal, in reference to unabated debates over Ankara's preference for a non-NATO system, an issue that has raised questions about the Turkish government's motives.

The US and other Western allies of Turkey have warned Ankara that if the deal is finalized, the Chinese air defense system could not be integrated into NATO systems and radars.

Turkey again extends deadline for anti-missile defense proposals - BUSINESS

Turkey has again extended by two months the deadline for bids for a multi-billion dollar anti-missile defense system tender, despite having provisionally awarded the deal to China, a Turkish official has told the Hürriyet Daily News.

The new deadline for rival bidding companies to submit their proposals is Aug. 30, allowing U.S. company Raytheon Co and Lockheed Martin Corp and Italian-French team Eurosam SAMP/T to revise their offers and try to head off the Chinese company, with which Turkey is still in talks.

This is the third time Ankara has extended the deadline for revised offers.
