I believe we should Scrap MMRCA and go for Super Sukhoi

better option if i may dare to say Is LCA it has about 10000 Flight Hours and instead of upgrading MIrages you should Go For LCA and Super Sukhoi, India has too much on its Plate too many different Systems Like mig 29,mig 27,bison,jaguar,mirage2000,su30,LCa

and Future Inductions are Rafael,t-50,FGFA, etc

Now Look at the TOP AIRFORCE/NAVY of the world

f-16,f-15,f-22,f-18,harrier(planned F-35)
and thats all she wrote FOLKS

Well the MoD and the IAF are the last people on earth with your opinion. What will we get from scrapping the MMRCA???

I tell you what: Apart from losing face by just cancelling the deal for no reason and losing France`s trust we will NOT get access to new technology (we won get much from the Super Su`s since we already have access to Russia`s best tech. (FGFA!)), we will NOT get the perhaps most advanced 4.5 gen fighter, we WILL not get the Rafales omnirole capabilities, we will NOT get 50% offset for our aerospace industry and we will deteriorate the relationship with our best western ally.

Since the IAF has operated Dassault aircraft of all generations since decades, the Rafale should not be a huge problem, further more consider this:

Like i said TOp dog have 5 systems with massive UPgrades that Kills all the Competition in the World like ECM Suites and what not

You guys Have 7 systems with 4 planning To Come into Service with No Way of killing the top dog competition, after all you just dont say your modelling your self after top dog but have nothing but headachs to show for

If you wanna Keep French System Fine but it will be in your best interest to Drop one of the russian System like mig29 or su 30
But Best Option is
LCA,SU30(DROP miG29)RAFAEL and FGFA and upgrade the hell out of it, rest of all that jazz is unnecessary and Cause Draw backs and what not

TRISHUL: Super Su-30MKI: From Air Dominance To Air Supremacy

The engine being discussed here is Saturn Al-41F-1 or Item 117C/S... even If those engines are selected it won't make a Su30MKI supercruise... Besides IAF doesn't want those engines It is looking for upgraded Al-31F-M-2/3 series engine which have same dimensions when compared with current Al-31FP engine.... allowing other old MKI upgrades too with the newer and uprated engine.... It would have similar output as compared with Item 117C/S but it doesn't supercruise.

IAF has already decided to retire all the Mig 21s n Mig 27s by 2017.

While Jaguars r going though upgrades n Mirage upgrades will soon start, these 2 r India's nuke carrier planes so they aren't going anywhere for the time being.

AFAIK the deal during Putins last visit in December 2012 was for SSs (according to some news reports), but I somehow doubt that......... IMO it was for normal Sukhois.
