Sukhoi SU-30 Carnage in Ukraine!

. . .
One interesting aspect of it is how the IAF’s two Su-30MKIs dueled with eight PAF F-16s during the conflict. The North group of 4 F-16s engaged our Flankers, which fired 3 AIM-120C AMRAAM BVR missiles. All the missiles missed their mark. The Sukhois pushed them back, while also picking up another group of 4 F-16s and multiple inbound strike aircraft from the Southern formation. This in essence meant that the Avengers were heavily outgunned by the PAF formation carrying more advanced American BVR missiles, and in sheer numbers. A fourth AMRAAM was fired by the South Group.

By advanced mapping, it could be deduced that by that time the Su-30MKI jets were just 25-30 kilometers away from the North Group jets. This fourth AMRAAM was also evaded by the Sukhois.

IAF Flankers, instead of retreating, counterattacked in a bold move against the F-16s ignoring the high-density BVR threat from the F-16s, in all probability breaching the AMRAAM MAR to press home the R27/77 attack 25-30 km from lead PAF jets in the North Group.

This meant that the things turned out to be the other way for the PAF, the Su-30s instead of returning dashed on to the F-16s to make them come under the R-27/77 missile range. This is because the Su-30MKIs were not carrying long-range BVR missiles, and had medium-range missiles, whose range problem had to be mitigated by bringing F-16s closer. The lead North Group F-16 fighters, instead of attacking the incoming Sukhoi, went ‘COLD’ prematurely.

That is the reason for the 10 out of 12 Pakistani bombs falling well out of the range of their intended targets was because of this unexpected counterattack by the IAF fighters
did you get that from a Bollywood movie.

SU 30 MKI is an Indian customized variant with similarities to SU 35 (same engine and features) and further improvements down the line including Russian, French, Israeli and Indian avionics.
Russia impressed with this variant ordered a couple of Su30MKIs with the local name of Su-30SMs but dunno if French and Israeli avionics were included in it.
What exact variant with what avionics is the question here.
Rubbish SU 30 SM are more advanced than any SU 30 ever existed even with Israeli upgrades Russian SU 30 SM are superior

@SQ8
Did IAF go into battle with just two SU-30s and Trio of MK2s in it's inventory that they were showboating with this number to the gullible Indians.
They had 2 Su-30s in the air and two M2ks. However, I can bring in any Su-30 and call it avenger flight and claim it was the one flying that day.

The M2ks in the image are representative of the strike package which was around 2x2 strike flights with 2 escorting.

Not really, that is western BS for obvious reasons... Always remember it's not just the machine but also the man behind the machine that counts.
Ita the russian doctrine throwing randomly different military pieces. Su30 in hands of Israel and Pakistan would have different outcome.

I wonder what are they celebrating? Death of 2 Pakistani trees and a crow (the crow may be a Pakistani or could have been an Indian migrant :p: ).
Indian bombs missed their marks by 40 kilometers away from the intended target due to poor information about the terrain plus fear of PAF when it chased the Indian jets, Literally, they just dropped their bombs in a forest area and ran away.
now come to Pakistan. PAF pounded them, in daylight. All the bombs were dropped on the intended targets. And when IAF tried to retaliate their two jets were downed, one Mig-21 and one SU30 MKI. Both kills are well documented.
Plus one Indian Heli (Mi17) was downed by their own SPYDER defense system (although it appeared later it was also downed by a PAF AMRAAM 120, but both sides decided to remain silent on this issue... IAF being too embarrassed and utterly demoralized, and PAF because they did not want to further escalate the matter and go into a full-scale conventional or nuclear war).
Now come to the deaths on that day:
IAF: 8 in total at least (2 SUMKI pilots + 6 personnel in rescue Heli). MI17 went into the air to recuse the bodies of SU30 pilots and got shot through unfortunate circumstances.
PAF: 0 humans, 2 trees, plus a few reptiles may be.
And the irony is this saga did not end here. This utter defeat demoralized IAF and the army to the extremes and it took them many months just to come out of this shock.
If my PDF brothers go into research they will find that after Feb 2019, in the coming months there were a lot of IAF jet crashes. Why? Nobody knows exactly but the most common explanation is whenever in the air they see a large bird flying nearby they always think it was some PAF jet coming to take them head-on and the nervous IAF pilots eject their jets in hurry.

LOLLLLLLLLLL Man this forum was getting depressing, Thanks for laughs. You know from OSINT after the cleaning lady/Defence Minister Nirmala ran back suing for peace there were no jets saying over Srinagar for hours. Probably after the self kill of the heli in Budgam but possibly in fear of being shot down. Given such remarkable performance of SU 30 am sure the desire to fire missiles instead of use airforce has some weird explanation also the "rafael hota" chief hindutva troll PM Modi.

Every now and then one Indian looser high on blind patriotism & oblivious to facts turns up on PDF only to humiliate himself. I guess that keeps this forum entertaining.
Let the show go on
