Go to vegas, win some cash and splurge on strippers and booze. Remember the money must stay in the US.

Go to states like New york,Chicago, California because those states have a good metro system. In other states you might need to buy a car. Plus DC is over rated

Bruh, he can't go to NY and California in one visit

Also, where in Cali?! Cali is hugeeeeee

survive the airport immigration and customs department first.....after you enter the states, then a new chapter opens.

guy i m traveling to USA on 20th this month.this will be my first visit.
i m requesting members from usa to guide me about the country and to do abd not to dothings thanks

America is a great place to visit. I'll give you tips that will probably help change your experience and the experience of an American meeting you. At the airport, you will be checked thoroughly, just our standard DHS policy. Be courteous to the officers (the people in immigration, police, etc, are referred to as officers). Follow the instructions and say thank you if someone tries to help knowing you are a visitor. If you ever get into a medical, or any other emergency, call 911, give them your location and if a medical emergency exists (hopefully never happens), stay with them on the phone until you see a Paramedic or a Police officer in front of you, deep breathing helps with pretty much everything. I don't know what city you are going to, otherwise, I would give you tips on the local culture. Each state or major city has its own culture to some degree.

Second, when interacting with Americans, let's say, asking for a street name, or address (pretty common in NYC), remember they are all busy in the morning and evening hours, and we almost run / speed walk to catch out trains to go home. So when you ask someone, be ready for a short and quick answer. That doesn't mean they are rude, it just means they really are on a clock to get to their train to go home.

If you do get a chance to interact with locals in a more relaxed manner, or in a conversation (I say this to every visitor), make sure you tell them something you like about the US, and also create a reference of something similar you may have seen in Pakistan / India / etc. India doesn't really need an introduction but Pakistan can use good PR.

So when you tell a local that you are a visitor and you like X about the US, and that you have something like that in Pakistan, you've introduced your country to that person very positively, who may or may not have met a visiting Pakistani before. By doing so, you've shown them that Pakistanis wish the US well and that you have similar stuff there like the US has (high rise buildings, shopping, etc, etc). By doing that, this person will go tell at the least ten people about this "Pakistani visitor" who was really nice, and appreciated America. Ten people hearing this, will repeat this story elsewhere, so good things about your country will spread through direct contact. Free marketing and PR :enjoy:

One thing for sure don't do is that don't think about the tall buildings ayy the way you see in movies because where you going to stay i am sure you going to be disappointed and have a safe journey

@ali_raza First off, welcome to the United States and I hope you enjoy your visit here.

There is quite a lot to see and do in the US, and it would take you awhile to see and do everything. Also depends heavily on what you're obviously interested in doing . and not sure of your timetable.

Reading through this thread and I see that a few have already given you some good ideas.

I live in the city of Philadelphia which is about 2 hours south (by car) of New York City.

Speaking of NYC

There is a a lot to do (which a few members have already touched on) My brother recently moved up there and I've been up to visit him several times and I still haven't seen everything.
