What's new

Submarine base to be built with Tk 10,300 crore.

Here comes the purana bakwas of PDF chutiyas. Another clean thread spoiled by China's lackey. Let the fight begin. Ting ting ting.

What do you expect from morons who looks for unnecessary argument. Pea brain saying this shit in the very thread where it says Chinese are constructing our sub base.

Yes we did like Padua and Boraibari conflict. Just because we have close relationship with India doesn't mean they are not potential threat. Stop saying the same crap in every thread.

S 20 or S 26T like Pakistan and Thailand did. Those are based on Type 39 sub.

To be honest its a bit frustrating to have seemingly every thread polluted by this crap.

Umm thanks... i do not have an account with BDmilitary..., just wanted to know if bdmilitary is speculating on a model of submarine in the specific article quoted.... or was it just a statement that Chinese subs will be bought

Oh. I have no idea. I would never pay to read an article from there.

In terms of what subs would be bought going forward.

Who knows. (IMO, I don't think it HAS to be a Chinese design)

But I wonder if this base was on the agenda when BN officials went to China recently. (Pics on this site)

Almost sure it was given the scale and cost.

Chinese sub will be the first option for BN for cheaper price and commonality. Even a Type 39 scale model was showcased in development fair.

Now that dumbo crying to mod. :flame: What a douche-bag!! Dumbo calling BAL India's lackey and the same BAL gives China contract to build submarine base. The real "shyt beetles" is him. Wonder why they start the shit if they don't like reply. Every time they start with some banter and troll and we reply back and the whole thread starts turning into garbage. Then mods have to clean the dirts and lock the thread. Remember that "Bhutan" joke?

Let it be.

So BD Military is speculating that navy is not paying 1.25 billion only for a single base but also for two or more new subs under the same package because the contractor for the project generally sells warships to the Bangladesh Navy as they never heard of this company building submarine bases before. @Michael Corleone @LKJ86

https://www.bdmilitary.com/general-...e1u1BtbNaPNzKjFG3uE6XCZQxVNH1RIdhaJCD9Mky5Pf0

What subs are the speculating is part of the deal.
i'm not speaking in behalf of bdmilitary and i have not talked to Syed about the subs but i reckon it's speculation at this point sure 1.25 billion seems steep for sub base but we don't know if they're planning to build a fortified pen type underground facility with reinforced concrete through which submarines can be launched undetected or just open air bases with various facilities... if it's the latter... then 2 subs could be possible as china sells Yuan class for around 400 million if i remember correctly

and yes... say goodbye to russian subs dream... most likely it will be Yuan class with AIP propulsion
now it all makes sense... the future plan is to build subs post 2025 in country... so maybe as soon as the base is complete by 2027... there might be 2 yuan and 2 ming and before the decade is over 4 more yuan and the mings transferred to training

"build a fortified pen type underground facility with reinforced concrete through which submarines can be launched undetected"

Hoping for above as that will both secure the subs and also justify the cost.:enjoy:

One of the other best parts about this news. Says a lot about our financial capability.

Read the full article, it says another Submarine base is being build at Rabnabad, Patuakhali, near Payra deep sea port. There is already a partial Submarine base in Chittagong. For a country with just 580 km coast line, 3 Submarine base is enough for foreseeable future.

I do not know for sure, But I have seen discussion here and some other places about 6-8 Submarine by 2030.

Rabnabad Naval base is not a submarine base, its a naval base with berthing facility for submarines. This new naval base will the first permanent submarine base in bangladesh.

I have read the news. Re-read it. It says that the Pyra one is a naval base with berthing arrangement for the submarines. Pyra is not an exclusive submarine base like the Cox's Bazaar one. Cox's Bazar Base will cost about $1.23 billion. Chittagong is also not a submarine base, it is a temporary berthing facility like the Pyra one.

The submarines to be acquired newly should be based in other places so that a single aerial/missile attack does not destroy all. It is a defence forum. People should understand this small thing that the airforce bases are also built at scattered points. The best locations are those behind/under the mountain near the sea. For example, the venue of Chittagong Marine Academy. An attack destroys the mountain but not the submarines.

Thats not the aerial view of patenga. To my knowledge, bangladeshi coasts do not have cliffs or corals(exclud. st. martin)

BD proved it's financial capability when it used it's own money to start building the 4 billion US dollar Padma bridge.

BD's financial ability is getting greater with each passing year and there will be a step-up next fiscal when the new VAT law comes into effect.

The chinese give you money for this base?
If yes, they earn interests on the loan. that project is 100 percent overpriced, with most workers, most materials coming from China.
Why do you talk like a knowledgeable person when you just do not know about the present project. Have you already seen/read the specifications, Area map, construction site maps, layout drawings, design drawings or construction drawings?
