I am not jumping to any conclusion, all I am saying is that we have right to do anything we want on this issue, we are the grieving ones who are grieving the death of 100s of people by this man and grieving families get the satisfaction and closure from hanging.

1) For Saulat Mirza to expect that the death penalty would be waived for him, was unrealistic. Nonetheless, given his confession and time served, the victims family could have shown some leniency. But for me to judge them would be unfair. It was their decision, so be it!

Why? Government didn't asked him to join a terrorist organization, government didn't gave him target lists, He didn't killed for government, in fact he killed a senior government official, why should government provide him or his family any security? Every adult citizen is responsible to inform government of any known terrorists and their activities, did his family fulfil their duty to inform government that their son/brother/husband is involved in target killing of innocent people? if they knew it, then they are also criminals and should be tried and penalized.

2) Since he did finally confess, at he behest of ________. The least the Govt. can do is provided proper security, for his family or relocate them to a better place. After all they (Saulat Mirza's family), have taken on the wrath of a very serious terrorist organization.

He got one n half month extra since he gave names and gave helpful information to government agencies. In this, he could ask forgiveness from Allah, for what ever he done. Which is more than enough leverage by the state for a criminal like him. So I don't think he was used as tissue paper.

Now state should also hang real culprits pointed out by saulat Mirza. Since justice requires it.

Government didn't used he did his job their was no way he was coming out alive after doing 50 murders even when he was jailed he keep coming out and murdered people. So he had to be hanged but now his statement was recorded in front of magistrate and he told several things and lot of new things to which would make sure many cases are reopened and new are build on MQM leadership.

His family if needs security it should be afforded you cannot punish them for crimes they did not do.

Where do you see such confessions aired through TV? Obviously he was given assurance for the safety of his family and now that his confessions have been used to gain cheap publicity, the government is not providing security to his family as per his wife. I think many Pakistanis are over-reacting here and being a Pakistani myself, I am not surprised. However, as few have suggested rightly so, we cannot punish his family and associates for his crimes and it should not be very difficult to understand I guess.

It is his party MQM that made him a killer and then left him to rot. Saulat Mirza reminds me of Boxer, a very interesting character in Orwell’s Animal Farm. Just like Boxer, people like SM are usually all brawn but no brains, thus it is relatively easy to coax them into following every bid of their leader. If he is Boxer then his leader Altaf Hussain is definitely Napoleon, a vile creature that exploits his blind followers to further his nefarious agenda. . He spent the best years of his life killing innocent people like Shahid Hamid who were educated, honest and valuable to their country. After watching the interview of Shahid Hamid’s wife one can have nothing but utter resentment for this killer. Whoever took his interview in his cell and further exposed him and his mafia like party has done a great service for this country.

Problem is not that he is hanged ... Problem is this that he has been used by state for none ........

It doesn't matter now who he was. What important is that don't make him a mazloom now. Either MQM should have owned him when he was alive. Or now should sit silent instead of making him a mazloom who was used by state.

Zindagi main to own kia nahi, to ab fikr kiyun kar rahai ho kai state nai use kia tha ya nahi.

I don't have any sympathy with Saulat Mirza ... But surely with his wife ... Statement should not have given her hope ... She is a woman and disappointed now ..........

ایم کیو ایم کے سابق کارکن صولت مرزا کو منگل کو صبح ساڑھے چار بجے بلوچستان کی مچھ جیل میں پھانسی دے دی گئی، انھیں سنہ 1997 میں کراچی الیکٹرک سپلائی کارپوریشن کے مینیجنگ ڈائریکٹر شاہد حامد کے قتل کے جرم میں موت کی سزا سنائی گئی تھی۔

صولت مرزا کا ویڈیو بیان سامنے آنے کے بعد ان کی پھانسی اس سے قبل اُنیس مارچ اور یکم اپریل کو ملتوی کی جاچکی تھی جب کہ انسداد دہشت گردی کی عدالت نے تیسری بار مجرم کے ڈیتھ وارنٹ جاری کیے تھے۔

صولت مرزا کے ویڈیو بیان نے کئی سوال جنم دیئے جیسے کہ ڈیتھ وارنٹ جاری ہونے بعد کسی مجرم کی ویڈیو کیسے بنائی گئی؟ اور بنائی گئی ویڈیو میڈیا چینلز تک کس طرح پہنچی؟۔

مشہور کہاوت ہے کہ ڈوبتے کو تنکے کا سہارا بھی بہت ہوتا ہے ، صولت مرزا نے اپنے بیان میں کہا تھا کہ ’’میں سزا معاف کرنے کا نہیں کہہ رہا بلکہ درخواست کررہا ہوں کہ مجھے چند دنوں کی مہلت دی جائے تاکہ میں مزید چند باتیں قوم کے سامنے لا سکوں‘‘۔

صولت مرزا کو تو پھانسی دے دی گئی لیکن سوشل میڈیا پر منظر عام پر آنے والی نگہت مرزا کی اس ویڈیو کے بعد یہ سوال جنم لیتا ہے کہ اب صولت کے اہلِ خانہ کی حفاظت کون کرے گا ؟ صولت مرزا کے پھانسی کے بعد نگہت مرزا کا دیا ہوا یہ انٹرویو ٹی وی چیلنز پر نشر کیوں نہیں ہوا؟ مزید یہ کہ کیا واقعی صولت کو پارٹی اور ریاست دونوں نے استعمال کیا؟

11 مارچ کو ڈیتھ وارنٹ جاری ہونے کے بعد سے 12مئی کو پھانسی دیئے جانے تک صولت مرزا ٹی وی چینلز اور خبروں کی زینت بنا رہا صولت مرزا کے بیان پر بے شمار تبصرے اور تجزیے ہوتے رہے، جس پر ایم کیوایم بار بار ایک ہی موقف دیتی نظر آئی کہ صولت مرزا کی ویڈیو ایک اسکرپٹ ہے جو ایم کیوایم کے خلاف ایک سازش کے تحت بنائی گئی۔بعد ازاں صولت مرزا کی اہلیہ نگہت مرزا بھی خبروں کی زینت بنی رہیں ایک انٹریو میں اہلیہ صولت مرزا کا کہنا تھا کہ صولت کے بیان کے بعد ہمیں بیرون ملک سے دھمکیاں دی جارہی ہیں جس پر سندھ حکومت نے صولت مرزا کے گھر کے باہر سیکورٹی کے انتظامات سخت کردیئے،لیکن اب صولت کے اہلہ خانہ کی حفاظت کون کرے گا؟ ۔

سوال یہ بھی ہے کہ پاکستان کی تاریخ میں آج تک صولت مرزا سے پہلے سزائے موت کے کسی مجرم کو ڈیتھ سیل سے ویڈیو بیان جیسی سہولت فراہم نہیں کی گئی کہ تو پھر صولت پر یہ مہربانی کیوں؟

صولت کو کس نے استعمال کیا ؟ اس پارٹی نے جس کی خاطر وہ تختہِدار تک جا پہنچا یا وہ جن کے لئے پھانسی سے قبل اس نے اپنا اعترافی بیان ریکارڈ کروایا؟۔

سوشل میڈیا پر منظر عام پر آنے والی ایک ویڈیو میں صولت کو ایم کیوایم کے حق میں نعرے لگاتے دیکھا گیا جس کے بعد ذہن یہ سوچنے پر مجبور ہوتا ہے کہ اگر صولت مخلص تھا تو آخری اوقات میں اس کی جماعت نے اس سے لاتعلقی کا اظہار کیوں کیا؟ یا اگرصولت مخلص تھا تو اُسنے ایسا بیان کیوں اور کس کے کہنے پر دیا؟

فراہمیِ انصاف کی خاطر جتنی صولت مرزا کی پھانسی ضروری تھی اُتنے ہی ضروری ان سولات کے جوابات بھی ہیں ۔

میں اُمید کرتا ہوں کہ گزرتا وقت ان حقائق پر سے پردہ اُٹھانے میں مددگار ثابت ہوگا۔
