It wasn't Zia, Afghan wants to live under the Shariah rule that is how their society functions , its their Democratic right to rule themselves under Shariah law

Communism is a failure; it led to cannibalism and utter degeneration and humiliation of those nations who adopted this Godless ideology.

Liberalism is also a failure; destroying entire ecosystems and societies; complete and utter degeneration.

What Communism aspires to be, and in what form we witnessed in Afghanistan are two totally different things. Can a genuine state like you mentioned even exist, I don't think so. Maybe small co-operatives, but never a nation state. The flaw of Communism is that after removal of the upper class and industrialists, the party leadership becomes the new movers of the society. Changing hats will not solve basic problems in the society.

How can you remove the concept of faith, teachings of Islam, and ideal behaviors of both spouses from the Islamic marriage? For Muslims, marriage is such an important part of our faith and life, it cannot be relegated to merely a socio-economic contract. Allah swt is the third party in the marriage between two people, the marriage must be in accordance with the Islamic tradition.

Islam already has a governing system, which has been developed by taking into account the sunnah, fiqh, and ijma'. Why do we need to adopt an alien system to our religious society?

We saw what the Russians did in Afghanistan, I think Pakistan and Afghanistan are the most immune to the type of change which you would like to bring.

India is much more receptive to Communism as Nehru was always moving in this direction. Plus a major part of Indians are irreligious, which take religion as just cultural markers, thus they swing Socialist anyway.

Let me tell you an example: God forbid if you contact a deadly disease say Covid-19. Now you have 2 options, either you follow the guidelines such as avoid contact, maintain social distancing and seek treatment or you can feel proud that you have Covid and start spreading this disease by meeting with people and sneezing on their faces. Now tell me what will the society and govt will do to you in the 2nd case.

In above example, it was not your fault that you contacted this disease. Similarly it is not anyone's fault that he/she developed sexual affection for same gender. Punishment is for those who fulfill those desires and don't seek treatment.

There is nothing like no choice. Everyone has a choice unless he/she is completely insane. If someone can distinguish between good and rotten food, then for sure he has a choice in other matters as well.

Additionally, the Soviets killed off a million Afghans in that process of introducing short skirts. Three million were forced to flee their homes. Communists employed scorched earth tactics with no regard for human life (unsurprisingly).

Killing their own puppet presidents(along with their entire families) inside presidential palace because they were too slow to shove that progress down the throats of their people. Replacing them with more radical ones.

They call themselves progressive but the type of progress that they brought in Central Asian Khanates of Bukhara, Kokand and Khiva is also infront of everyone to see. They brought about the world's worst ecological disaster in the Transoxania region. Their legacy of turning people into machines, brutal suppression of political opposition and economic blunders can be experienced by anyone who travels in those republics.

Another thing to note is that Afghanistan is a resource rich country. Huge deposits of Lithium, iron ore etc. No wonder it got invaded twice within a short span of time (now Chinese firms have most mining contracts).

They already erected Ranjit Singh Kana's statue in Lahore. He was the person who had used Badshahi mosque as a stable and was hanging people in front of Wazir Khan mosque. Muslim leader Syed Ahmad Shaheed fought against Sikh rule and sacrificed his life in the process. Shamelessly, a sitting minister boasted about "Punjabi supremacy" when he announced his plans to build Ranjit Singh's statue.

Syad Ahmad Barelvi rose in prominence because of Pashtuns. Once he became powerful he then made the mistake of trying to force Pashtuns to marry their daughters and sisters to his needy Hindustani followers which they refused to do, that was the reason for his downfall. As for Ranjit Singh using Badshahi mosque as a horse stable, that is a myth

The problem between us and communists boils down to our adherence to different sets of moralities, which is more serious than a simple disagreement in fiqh which we have between us ergo Conservative Islam and communism are two ideas which are bound to be in incessant conflict
