Special unit for Pakistan border on the cards

Yeah, actually, it's up to India if they want to escalate. Pakistan is in no position to cause trouble with India, and the PA realizes that. India, being in a dominant position, holds all the cards right now. It's up to India whether it wants to pick a fight, or actually reciprocate Nawaz Sharif's gesture of good will.

Umm..how was it Nawaz's gesture, when it was Modi who invited him? If anything, it was Modi's gesture that Nawaz responded to.

and we can that we ruled you for a 1000 years but thats not going to change reality of the day , Admit it India is stuck in a limbo :cheesy:
You didn't. Turks and Arabs and Afghans ruled all your country and less than half of today's India. Just because you adopted their religion doesn't make you the conquerers.

Usually, I'd say something witty, but I think I'm more confused than anything else. I actually don't understand what the purposed new unit's mission statement is supposed to be. What role are they going to play that other units of the IA aren't capable of doing?

Are they going to be a unit that specializes in crossing over to Pakistan's side of the border? What is their mandate?
This is what I was trying to say- this proposal doesn't seem to add anything that isn't already there. The IA has specialised troops to use in the Valley and along the LoC.

its not like Modi sent the 'special team':pleasantry: and put a gun on Nawaz's head and forced him to go!

If he did that, it would not be a gesture of goodwill. He invited Nawaz here and treated him curteously, which is why it was a good gesture of goodwill.

Except that Nawaz didn't do what MMS did, he reciprocated, and even when he was very clearly insulted, he still tried to salvage some sort of good will between India and Pakistan. Pakistan has invited Modi, it's up to Modi if they wants to go or not. like I said, the ball is in India's court.

1000 years? why not make it 2000 years :D You ruled parts of india but never whole of it. btw the rule was at most 400 years and that too parts of India not whole, there were always many hindu kingdoms who were fighting mughals.
So you need to invoke that old 1000 year rule thingy to counter my arguments?:rofl:
Why what happened to the mighty pakistanis why did they fail in all wars against us and they had to surrender completely to get 90,000 pow's in 1971,such a shame.:yay:

Maybe it's a political gesture? Modi may be trying to appease the hardliners?

First of all, Indians tend to forget that Pakistani soldiers were killed by Indians first, Pakistan retaliated; And it very well could have caused a war.

You say PA doesn't want trouble, yet they fire on a regular basis across border and last time they crossed our border to kill our soldiers, next time it will be ours crossing borders and taking heads.Tit for tat policy will be applied by this government.Last government was weak and unwilling. not this one.
