You co-exist for now but as the recent events say, the future is not very bright with the Sunni's exposure to wahabism which is nothing but a menace. Pakistan military over the last 5 decades has lost 3 major wars, lost half its country and has constantly ceded territory to its enemies.

Pakistan being the only country in South Asia to consistently lose territory since 1947.
