I want to know where those initial few leading Pakistani nuclear scientists were educated, where they got the already existing knowledge from etc.

I really, really doubt that it was all done indigenously and without any outside support. In fact there would be no Manhattan Project without non-Americans to begin with.

So what exactly stops KSA (other than political pressure) from developing nuclear weapons once KSA develops a indigenous nuclear industry in 2 decades time as the goal is? You don't think that KSA by then will have capable people or be able to hire nuclear scientists from abroad and get the know-how this way too? Just like Pakistan did?

Almost 70 years ago Arabs did not number more than 100-150 million people and most Arab countries just gained independence after often long wars fought against the occupier. Iraq, Syria etc. were neglected by the Ottomans for centuries too before their independence. Those Arab countries were barely supported by any foreign powers unlike Israel. They did not fight for their very survival. Most of the soldiers were undisciplined, the officers did not trust their own soldiers, the armies were led by dictators, many fought it was a pointless war and not their business etc. Again a limited number of Arab countries were involved too.

Anyway what are you even blabbering about? You could not even defeat 1 single Arab country (Iraq) which is 3 times smaller and has a 2.5 times smaller population and you have never touched Israel. Nor is your military history even comparable to the Arab one. Go troll somewhere else and obsessed about your militarily, religious, linguistic and cultural conquerors. Muhammad Siddiqui, yes. Would there be a Pakistani nuclear program without him? No country on the planet, not even the founders (US) developed the nuclear knowhow without outside support or coordination. If KSA ever develops nuclear weapons it will be no different.

You must understand once again that KSA has never sought to built nuclear weapons (nuclear weapons are not the same as nuclear energy) because there has been no need for that. That's why KSA TODAY (in 20 years time this will change) has no ability to do that. Just like MOST Western countries do not have the ability to built a nuclear weapon tomorrow. Not even those that are much more developed than your average developing country.

Anyway I was asking in all seriousness because it has been ages since I last read about the Pakistani nuclear program. Does anyone know the approximate number of Pakistani nuclear scientists? Are we speaking about 500 people? 1000? We know for a fact that there were certain Pakistani nuclear scientists who were educated abroad/gained knowledge from foreigners and those same people later thought locals etc. This would be no different to the process in every other country.

It is not about one can build or not. It is more like if the world will allow you to build nukes or not. Look at Iran. All those years of sanctions and in the end they submitted to the West. We also faced sanctions and conspiracies against our nuclear program. If you are self sufficient that you do not need any foreign part and you can make everything at home than that is some what a different story, otherwise it is way too difficult. What happened to nuclear program of Lybia? They chickened out.
Even when the tech is 70 years old, making a nuke is not an easy task for at least Muslim countries which will have to buy stuff from outside even when the said tech is 70 years old.

The policy of West with regard to whom to let acquire nukes is very simple... if that country is stable and there is no risk of turning against west... It is all about future risks...it has nothing to do with current relations...

This is why I think West never let Arabs, whichever country it is..acquire Nukes... although there are some hard core nations that get what they want and just don't give up... these countries they can do nothing about it...
