For example, the Hemudu culture from the lower Yangzi River Basin.

Hemudu culture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I consider this is to be a pretty advanced culture since it can already make the cauldron such as Ding, pretty much different from other Neolithic cultures from the same period.

I also consider it to be the southern branch of the proto-Huaxia civilization.

A document video from CCTV, just to show of the life of the Chinese people back in 7000 years ago.

From the documentary:
-Rice was cultivated in China over 7000 years ago
-Chinese ancestors knew how to construct above ground houses and show signs they knew how to polish, and bore with primitive stone tools
-started from matriarchal society to patriarch society

.
Good thread.

As I know. The Daxi culture of Chentoushan located in Hunan province had built city almost 6500-7000 years ago. Rice cultivated there was found for more than 9000 years.

We also found the rice was cultivated in YuChanyan, Dao county, Hunan province around 14000 - 18000 years ago.

Pengtoushan was even older, about 9000 years ago.

It is perhaps the predecessor of Daxi.
Yes, exactly.

Pengtoushan and Chengtoushan all located in Lixian, Hunan province.

A part of the descendants of 蚩尤 tribes reside in Hunan after they were defeated by Yan & Huang tribes .

History is amazing. We need time machine to figure it out. :D
