There is now widespread policy to ask children not to study -- everywhere. Meanwhile after 18 years old college admission exam, government are asking people to work and study till death,

The reason is 18 years old exam paper is the MOST fair and meritocratic accessment exercise.

Make sure you dont compete with elite baby on admission.

A tough problem, but if they don’t want to work those jobs, and China can’t fill those jobs, they should be shifted to partner nations where people would be glad to get the work, such as Pakistan.

As for the general job shortage, how about “splitting jobs”. Have two people split a job (One person works Monday to Wednesday and another works Thursday to Saturday) and spent the rest of the time being full time children or full time parents. Ole goal is to increase consumption, and how better to do that than consumption around caring for parents as raising more kids.

German SMEs did something along these lines (part time work with the rest of the time paid to go back to university to improve skills, until the economy picked up again).
