Sindhri is the best mango. Period.

Every year we fight about the best mangoes

It is down to personal choice in my opinion. We in UK get the best quality mangoes from all over the world. My Nana Abbu likes Indian mangoes whereas one of the Sikh manager from last job loved Pakistani mangoes. I personally like Pakistani mangoes more and think it's better than Indian counterpart but it is also a fact that all these mango varieties comes from the same subcontinent and despite the countries been geographically divided, the soil is producing the same quality without discrimination so it is down to the mango cultivators and the pair of mango in your hand. All mangoes produced in this region are great but I think Pakistani mangoes edges slightly
you still did not try my mango challenge though, ask somebody to randomly put mangoes in box labelled Indian & pakistani... I bet pakistani labelled one will still taste 'marginally' better.. :p:

Sindhri Mangoes are good for shakes, plenty of flesh and sweetness but I for eating pleasure nothing comes close to Anwar Ratol, after that i would say, Malda, Chounsa and Langra. Would love to have a tree like this in my garden.

May rating based on actual eating experience.

1. Anvaratol - Taste
2. Chaunsa - Taste, smell
3. Dosehri - Sweetness
4. Saroli - sweetness
5. Sindhri - shape, texture, pulp
6. Langra - hairy stone

Anwar Ratol is from ratol area of UP . Have eaten it multiple times , so are chaunsa , dusheri and langda . not sure about saroli though .

Hi,

In my teen years in quetta---whe my grand father would visit us in summer----he would bring at least 10 creates of mangoes.
They will put them in the storage area to ripen and I would sneak in and eat out 5 or 6 of them and then hide the skin and seeds.

Mango like Sindhri can only be appreciated in the farm.

Like I said before, it is impossible to export them, and transport them.

Even within the country, the mango is picked raw, and then allowed to mature in cold storage.

The real taste of Mango is fresh from the farm; of a mango that ripens on the tree.

You Indians can yap all you want; I don't blame you

What you eat at your home coming directly from stove/gas/bunner might be the best food in the world for you.

International Mango Festival is a podium which opens up the best and biggest of markets for mango farm producers.
Hence its a platform where every producer tries to bring in the best that they have so that they can sell to global buyers.

And those International Chefs probably are better judge in terms of technicality to rate mango.
I am sure in certain category Sindhri must be the best, there is no denial about it.

And as far as freshness is concern, the event gets fresh product delivered via special air cargos too. Kindly try to read more about hospitality and catering industry and what they do get best of the products for there customers.

And for sure I know what I am talking about :) I had my share of global experiences with some of the best in the industry :)

But then as they say of a tadpole is not seen anything outside the pond, for him the thats the world :)

You have to have lassi as a safety measure.
The mango is very hot .. and if you don't have lassi
you'd either bleed through the nose, or get pimples and stuff.

Lassi cools u down.
Now thats interesting!!!
They cannot be offered.

It is impossible to export then efficiently.

The sweeter the fruit is, the sooner bacteria will flourish in it.

Sindhri isn't just ultra sweet, but has a thin skin which is very easy to damage with moisture.

That makes sense. So is sindhri not exported at all?

I like sindhri as well. I think their skin is sour but they are very delicious from inside especially when you just suck whole mango without cutting it in pieces. They are also small to hold in hand

where i can get them in UK?
