Should Pakistan Gift its F7s and Mirages to Bangladesh after Induction of JF-17?

Hey guys,

we have discussed so much about JF-17's induction in PAF as a replacement of F7s and Mirages.

I am starting this thread to seek your views about the fate of retiring F7s and Mirages of PAF.

whats your stand if Pakistan donates these F7s and Mirages to Bangladesh Airforce, they can upgrade them and increase considerable numbers in their Airforce which would not only strengthen Bangladesh airforce but would benefit pakistan by maintaining pressure on India on its border with Bangladesh...

I doubt they would want to operate a bigger air force and they will have better planes by the time we induct all the Jf-17 but if they accept it then sure why not.We should have more strong defence ties with Bangladesh.It's a muslim nation and cannot harm us at all so we should help BD in defense sector.

A wonderful idea to start with an effective approach to develop brotherly relationship between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

We must grow beyond our current state of mind, and assert fullest sincere effort to achieve such goal---first because we are Muslims, and then, because murkier days are ahead for both.

I would also suggest that Pak business houses---who are in closer ties with Saudi capitals & business houses than Bangladeshis'---should come up with joint investment for few selective excellent opportunities of business in Bangladesh:

1. Any investment involving Saudis' will receive preferential treatment.
2. This is an effective way to build long-term relationship.

Genuine Bangladeshi business houses with favorable mind-set can be located to participate also.

Why would we wana do that, there certianly isnt any charity work going on here and nore will BD be interested in. Actually they are more nationalist then we are. So forget it.

THERE IS NO QUSTION OF NATIONALISM
becaus we are brotherly countries and in brotherhood no one is greater or inferior actully we want to tell the enemy you divided us by name not by heart we are in an unbreak able relation and the relation is islam and this act of the dlivery of aircrafts will build pressure on the estren border of india

so i am for the idea of the starter of the thread , i.e YES it should be done

Dont you think, i would NOT risk life of my pilots on aging crafts, were i BD? .. not to mention, the more aged this crafts, the more cost i bear to maintain them.... and for what benefit?

Bangladesh Got a good amount of F-6 from Pakistan in mid 80s. Most of them saw a good year of service before retire in late 90.

Majority of ATGM of bangladesh are from Pakistan and only existing battery of MBRL in service to Bangladesh army are from Pakistan. All the G-3 currently in bangladesh military are from Pakistan and also majority of the artillary ammo of bangladesh are from pakistan(guns are from china). Airforce C41 are from Pakistan. Only para commando Btln are trained along pakistani SSG.

We have a long list of defence co-operation for the benefit of both of us.

Sir, with due respect to your intention's, dont you think brotherly love can start with economic co-operation first, maybe sign a FTA with BD.. what say ?

.... since anyway, you guys did give BD some F-6's way back in 80's, which BD could not maintain.

We already discussed something like this a few months back and the entire thread turned into a flaming contest. A lot of Bangladeshi members weren't happy with this gesture. Bangladesh is a sovereign nation and they can handle their military on their own.

Pakistan Air Force's F-7PG and Mirage-III/V's have gone through a number of (Expensive) upgrades and overhauls. Our fighters aren't "Free" and we're not going to simply dump then an another nation. They are capable interceptors and bombers which have served our airspace for decades. They have a price tag and if the need arises, we'll sell them to the highest bidder. There are a lot of third-world nations capable of purchasing these fighters.
