dude, we are completing Type-054a frigate every 12-18 months, how are you going to match with us?

tell you the truth dude, we will built another 100 navy ships comparable or better than the current 054a in the next 20 years, you simply can't match it. the USSR crashed because of the arm race, we are doing to it again on you.

First no Type-054 is a match for Shivalik. Any version you pick.

Secondly the delays were mainly to systems changes, American sanctions on GE turbines (which were later removed by Obama) and so on.

The British Type-45 or French La fayette took 6 years from first steel cut to commission. The Shivalik (which was supposed to be commissioned in 2007) took 2 years extra for the above mentioned reasons.

What India is doing is something it can afford.. Actually its China which is in arms race with USA, Japan, Taiwan...

INS Shivalik is comparable to Type-054a at best, and the fact is Indian relies on imported engine/radar/missiles to build it. We have 5 Type-054a in operational use, 2 in building and the PLAN is not going to order any more of such 10 years old toys.

You can crying hard, but INS Shivalik is comparable to Type-054a at best.

no, I don't claim Type-054a to be better, I believe the hull is very similar. the problem here is some Indians believe its better than 054a just because there is an Indian flag on it.
