In the west :-
Indian trying to be Pakistani— very very few(none)
Pakistanis trying to be Indians —
Very many.

Pakistan has attained such a reputation that sadly people are forced to do it.
I personally know people who are Pakistanis but say they are Indian and open Indian restaurants.

I dont personally know of any such examples. At a personal level(my family and I live in the US)...none of us ever claimed to be Indians...ever.

As for the restaurant...perhaps it is to attract more customers(Indians and Pakistanis)? Some of the desi restaurants(here in LA) that I've been to...that are owned by Pakistanis either say the name of the restaurant(and nothing else) or underneath the name it says "Indian and Pakistani cuisine". I have yet to come across a Pakistani posing as an Indian or a restaurant owned by a Pakistani portrayed as an Indian restaurant.

Your anger against me/India is understandable, but you guys deserved it. Now whatever happened cannot be reversed. You have to deal with it.

But the thing is whenever a south Asian visits the west, he is always asked the same question, ‘are you Indian..?’, now you can be a Nepali, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan or Pakistani, it does not matter for the westerner, you will always be Indian in their eyes.

You can create a song in punjabi, Urdu or whatever, by we can always own the song as well as the artist anytime we need.
India’s diversity and size allows us to hegemonise the entire sub continent.:nana:

In other words, you have nothing original to offer. Just a fake country with more than half of the population graduating from hindutava Madrassahs believing in vedic science and living in a la-la land.

Claiming everything as your own, from Egyptian to Indus to Inca... everything.

In other words, you are pathetic thieves and grand copyright violators. Not something to be proud of!

Not at all, I have been to the US and live in the UK and go to Medical School here. Pakistanis proudly tell they are Pakistani and Indians proudly tell they are Indian. I have friends from both countries so this isn't true. What youre saying is what many other Indians claim to taunt Pakistanis.

Art has no boundaries; therefore inspiration in music is permitted, but straight away copying is a very shameful act. But, in India, this tradition of copying is quite old. Even such great stalwarts, like Shankar-Jaikishan, and many others, were known to copy the songs from different sources. In Pakistan, this copying business has relatively been far less common.

Not true. Pakistan isn't really a part of South Asia or the so-called "indian sub-continent" in it's truest sense. Racially, Pakistan has far more in common with Iran and afghanistan. Over 95% of indians have 0 racial, DNA or genetic connections to Pakistan.

Black Jamaicans speak English just like White English people do, does it make them the same race or people? Speaking the same language as someone doesn't make you a part of their culture or heritage.
