You already have OHP class in your fleet .getting few more will bring same type of frigate in decent number.

That too was a mistake and is useless in its current configuration. Spending millions on it to modernize, in fact, weaponize it is not that sensible. We must go for new frigates that are heavier and have slightly better AAW capabilities. Spend the money there, IF Navy have finally got some funds which they normally do not!

might be true but new frigate like Type 54A would cost least 350 million dollar compare to 165 dollar for a refurbish OHP .
if you can afford i would like to see Type 54A/B type frigate which might give a longer utility then refurbish OHP.

AND will be able to server us for AT LEAST twice as long as the old refurbished OHP right?
Offering better performance too, specially considering there are no firm options about what weapon systems we can put on these old ships. The one we got was ripped off of all weapon systems.
So if i was to make a decision or offer a suggestion, i will say that one Type 54 is better then two OHP as long as we get four ships (which is a minimum requirement of sorts when we look at the current fleet)

The info on C-802 is not correct.

I wonder if larger fuel tanks for Thunder are being considered. The current tanks are almost of the same capacity as those on F7s/Mig21, minimal improvement perhaps. Huge tanks on Rafale though.

F7 Cary one 800 litre on center line and 500 litre on under wing internal capacity is 23/2400 litre vs jf 17 3000 litre internal and one 800 litre on centerline and 2 1100 litre under wing cannot compare f7 to jf further turbojet of f7 vs turbofan engine of jf no comparison

JFT internal fuel capacity is 2300 KG not 3000KG

Launchers were removed. The harpoon and CIWS has been installed by PN Dockyard.

Cutting cornors and working with à shoestring budget will give you à modest capsbility on paper.

Pak in future will try and fight the Indian navy with short legged single engins fighter carrying s cruise missile and a smalk sub fleet.

If the indians keeo moving the thunders wilk simpky run out of fuel. Easy easy doctrine.

You need massive investment. To dent what is rapidly becoming à world class Indian navy with world class assets in numbers most of them indengious built

You call 08 SSKs from China, and 05 Subs from France a small Sub Fleet? the coast is only 746 Km, and all Subs on offensive war patrol needs to cover only 4 indian harbours. Defense is the doctrine of PN, and not offence.
