The Ikhwan thought the Saudi government was too liberal King Fahad gave the country to them. No one including I will ever forgive him for that. My grandfathers were Turkish settlers in Makkah and Villegers of Taif....lol I know the world apart.

The ottomans had no military personnel in the eastern region

The Ottoman had the Kuvvie Murettebe led by General Mehmed Cemal Pasha along with 58th Infantry Division commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Necib Pasha and the Hicaz Kuvvei Seferiyesi (Hijaz expeditionary force) which was under the command of General Fakhri Pasha, Ottoman also had troops stationed at the port city of Akaba (which was later stormed, looted, and sacked by Arab rebels). Th Ottomans couldn't lunch any major offensives because of the strain on their supply lines, not to mention they concentrated on defending the Hijaz since that was their only source of supply.

they were other baron type governments that faught each other there all the time even during ottoman rule. They knew that Al-Hijaz was a no no. Baron like governments fighting each otherntherenwas the norm at the time.

But that has always been the norm there in Arabia, even before WWI.
