Saudi source: Turkish bases cannot be allowed in the kingdom

You actually think Turkey allowed in your jets to protect them from 'foreign aggression'? I don't know what Saudi regime is feeding to its people in media, but this one was extraordinary

Turkey has already allowed the NATO to acquire a military base. the NATO with the Americans have also access to 20s other bases inside Turkey. Why would they refuse to take any help from Saudi Arabia?

Dose Iran still allow the Russians to use همدان base to strike Syrians?

The ultimate game is set for be KSA. They won't stop till tanks rol inside the Haremain and ME is divided into infinitesimal city states!!! Now, what's KSA's game plan??? Putting embargo against Qatar won't hold water!!! And, relying on the USA is like putting the disaster on a fast track!!!! The Turkish FM has brought this message to the KSA. I am pretty sure they'll ignore it!!!! And Turkey knows it!!!

Are you talking about those people who have killed 1000's of Iranian "advisers" (cannon fodder) in Iraq and Syria?

I never knew that KSA supported those groups but if that is the case they are the most powerful proxies in the world. Quite impressive.

In fact using your logic, since Islam itself originates from KSA and all its sects (Sunni, Shia, Sufism etc.) and most important historical personalities on every front, the entire Muslim world is a proxy of KSA.

Including the Arab Mullah's who the Safavids imported in the 1500's and 1600's when they slaughtered your people and forcibly turned them into Shia Twelver Muslims. Today those individuals do not only rule the religious sphere in Iran but the entire country which has been the case for 40 years. They proudly proclaim their Hijazi ancestry by wearing black turbans.

Spin it how you want, nobody's buying it!

Well, I am extremely impressed if what you are saying is true. That's some formidable proxies to have. I wonder if we can add the Kurds at some point as well? Some say that they have already been added. Cannon fodder is always useful. The Baloch are already added after all if we believe the Arab Mullah's ruling Iran.

Seems like Saudis get cocky here, nobody said SA needs protection, the offer was obviously to demonstrate that Turkey doesnt wanna appear to be one sided.

And to the Saudis claiming to ''protect'' Turkey, never heard something more laughable, first of all your couple jets wont do anything in case of war, secondly its a pretty bold claim from a non-Nato country citizens to say they ''protect'' Turkey and thirdly Saudis first need a remarkable military archievement before they can protect anyone.

KSA "protecting" Turkey is as ridiculous as "Turkey protecting" KSA. Let's end it at that.

The idea of a Turkish military base in Riyadh or KSA for that matter is just as ridiculous and vice versa.

That map shows old/unused v present bases. More of them closed, takenover by Turkish military or insignificant small bases under Turkish army supervising. Except İncirlik airbase, Usa has no gate to middle east from Turkey.

Tell that to your countrymen who suddenly started to feel somehow relevant for the security of Turkey, whose posts you have thanked, you know what i mean.

Turkey is a NATO country and gained a lot from it, you dont need to justify anything in front of those people.

And why would we want our nukes in the hands of Saudis? Seriously is there any end to your loyalty to likes of saudis? Name one muslim country which stood with you durring any conflict with India/Afghanistan? Pakistan serves its own interests so screw saudis and other countries.
Watch today Musharraf interview on ARYNEWS ....question was raised about Qatar and KSA standoff, his reaction was little different. He said, few years ago same group of GCC propose Indian membership for OIC and Qatar present the proposal and Pakistan most beloved allies support for Indian membership. But................... devil came.

What if Pakistan apply for a strategic hidden missile base/silo in KSA?
Bhai kia nuclear weapon ko haj karna ha....

It's time for KSA to show some muscle and takeover Qatar and change the ruling class. Actually , that what world is waiting to see. After Eid prayer , world is waiting for some action.

Only foreigners with no clue about the GCC and what this dispute is about talk about such nonsense. Let me tell you another thing. The biggest supporters of the "blockade" (not going to explain why it is not a blockade in reality) were Egypt and UAE. Not KSA.

Besides as long as the US does not give such a green light (Qatar is home to the largest US base in the Muslim world and one of the largest outside of the US) this cannot happen. Anyway Qatar should have been a part of KSA but that is another discussion.

LOL what a joke. SA can protect itself? How quickly we forget the events of Desert Shield/Storm....

You don't get it. Saddam's army was one that we greatly helped building. The invasion of Kuwait was a sudden back stabbing from an army that we thought will be the last to attack us. The timing element being sudden and complet back stabbing forced us to do what we did.

This is just an indirect announcement by KSA to say that Turkey has been neutralized in the dispute with Qatar. That's all. Otherwise, in my humble judgement, the chance of having a Turkish base in KSA is the same as having an Iranian base.

He is not leading any armed men...A retired general being hired and paid for his services..Its our internal weakness that we act like this...See india no role no interference and reaping economic benefits too
If Pakistan has nothing to do with their affairs they didnt need to have him on board, but they did. Presence of Pakistani soldiers in KSA isnt any secret either. It is our weakness that we let them interfere in our affairs, but some how we can't even discuss them. One word: Arrogance!!!!

Recently there were news that KSA navy unit was hit by a missile near yemen and the next day Turkish state youtube channel shared a video about Turkish navy missiles used in trainings. To be honest, i even think that missile might be a Turkish lesson to Saudis to be careful when they think about attacking Qatar and keeping the relations at current stage.

Just to be clear, Turkey offered to establish a military base in SA to show Riyadh that Ankara does not pursue an anti-Saudi agenda.
Turkey knew that KSA will say no, So they went to Qatar much before that..It just in case KSA asks what that base is for, Turkey can answer, well it is for protecting the whole middle east..and we have asked you too.. so no one can say we didn't ask....it is a bit strange..it shows that Turkey wants to play a "leading/protecting" role in the GCC by forcing itself a bit on the others.. most of whom do not need that protection.. Is Turkey scared of something then!? I hope not, but the games in the Middle East have proven to be dangerous..
