Islamabad—His Excellency Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Abdul Aziz Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer along with his wife Ms. Aljouhrah Al. Arifi visited National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, today and met with Rector Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan and Director General (DG) Brig Azam Jamal.

Ambassador Abdul Aziz during his meeting with Rector told that name of NUML is very popular among Saudi students and it is considered as one of the best places and a preferred institute for language learning. Therefore, our Saudi students and officials always prefer to have a language degree from NUML to get some good opportunities in their professional career.

He told that Saudi Government is working on a plan to facilitate the students, teachers, academicians and scholars of both the countries so that Saudi students could benefit from Pakistani teachers, academicians and scholars and then Pakistani students and teachers could get benefit of cultural and religious heritage of Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, he said that Saudi Embassy is also planning to arrange some Arab Cultural show with the due cooperation of NUML as it will be of great help for the students of Arabic Language and literature to physically witness the culture and traditions they are studying. We are determined to facilitate our brother country Pakistan in every sphere of life and for this Saudi Govt is ready to take any step, he added.

Rector NUML Maj Gen (R) briefed the Ambassador regarding the structure, functions and potentials of the university and told the Ambassador that NUML offers a unique platform of studying not only modern languages but also the latest disciplines of the world.

I also wonder why Pakistani editors and proof readers prefer " he Told" instead of "he said"

thats good, Saudi funding can help grow latent talent in Pakistan, but they hope the support is more diversified than just wahabi expansion, in which case no good either for Pakistan or India!

Maybe if they can begin with ridding us of Wahabism and Wahabis - give these people some sort citizenship, just take them back with you - once in arabia, you can do with them whatever you want.

not jealous dude, rather just concerned, given the fact that it is KSA that is the biggest sponsor of terrorism or terrorist ideologies. You have yet to support them much to any fruition with over 60years of solid relations.

Interesting article, cultural exchange is a necessity for improving relations between nations. It's not enough to be close on simply diplomatic levels. Nevertheless Pakistan & Saudi Arabia were always pretty close, but it's good that both countries intend to collaborate with each other to further improve relations.
