Saras: How much indigenous is it???

Before commenting on Indian defence research first look your program, to import missiles from china(imp note is you dont even know to assemble). Now dont tell me to start new thread for that . Because here that type of thread should be closed in second and even if the management allow it you wont come that side to save ur nose

I can see the frustration, when DODO Scientists can't make out how to integrate perfectly good engine and propeller causing the plane crash .

First of all its DRDO..and get your facts straght before come to troll here..Saras was a product of NAL not DRDO..some troll you are ...and also sir..care to tell me which world class engine did Pakistan made???and can you tell me about a Aircraft assembled by Pakistan alone??so who is more incompetent here mate??If we start dick measuring contest ..you will be in loosing side for sure in this ..

See your can't spee DRDO correctly! You don't know that Saras is designed and built by NAL not DRDO. You have no knowledge what you are talking about. Why did you started this thread? troll? :pop:

Many countries buy engines and subsystems from other countriesto build their aircrafts but that is beyond you knowledge.

No doubt about it, India is doing that for a long time.... infact most of the armed forces been armed with "imported" weapons.

The "indigenous fetish" is little irritating, when you have none whatsoever.

Assembling with screwdriver, engine and propeller is not exactly "indigenous" engineering, is it:partay:


Buddy stop living in a pit. Gather some courage and display your location and country flag. However, if you cannot gather courage to do so, I suggest you put "ward of the state" tag in your location field.

We will then continue with the rest of the discussion.

P.S.: Let the final version of Saras fly and world will know how much "indigenous" the aircraft really is.

Anyway we are diverting from the topic. Lets discuss, if any "indigenous" content is present in the "indigenous saras".

pakistani army,airforce,navy : 90% chinese and 10% USA

pakistani Missile: 100% chinese

even pakistani president is also 100% american. i am not tolling, it's proved that ur president has american nationality.

In the city of Bangalore took off a second group of specialists EMZ under contract for the aircraft "Saras".


16 May 2010.
The first group of specialists EMZ im.V.M. Myasishchev flew to India g.Bangalor under contract for development of the main directions of modification of a light aircraft "Saras" (M-102). The original scheme of the aircraft developed jointly by experts EMZ and NAL (Bangalore).

It is more indigenous than you think!! We are no experts in aerospace. we have long way to go my friend. We strive to do better with each new products. Did you check out LCH??  We are proud of what we do, like you are proud of jf17(china origin) and mushak(  swedish origin).. 

As far as SARAS, It’s a civilian a/c and has to pass through strict FAA/DGCA regulations. Parts used in the A/c should be FAA/DGCA approved. How many FAA/DGCA approved parts mfrs in India? very few. However, SARAS complete aero structure/assembly, tools/jigs design/mfg, final integration/testing is done in India.  Again it is just a prototype. Once it goes to production..  lets say if Uganda supplies the quality parts with cheap price, we will source from them. 

We have seen similar thread like this before. A case of sour grape, I guess! And finally,  by your logic iPhone is not Apple product!!

Finally some one get some sense, yes dear iPhone is apple and US product.

No matter where it is made china, vietnam or combodia it will remain Apple and US product.

Likewise, saras, (M-102) will always remain Myasishchev Desgn Burea MDB, Russian design, weather it is assembled in India or Timbaktu.:azn:
