I don't care what the hard liner hindu would think or say about this marriage or any other common Indian would be thinking about it. But the thing that disappointed me the most is the attitude of the Muslim Scholars in India yet again just to prove their loyalty to India they are coming up with tons of crap.
Yes but then you lose the property and don't go to jailIts just like transferring property to someone and hope the person will not take possession?
They are Indians first and loyalty to country comes before any other consideration for Indians. That it is a source of disappointment for our friends next door is not really a concern or high up in the list of our priorities. And why is it that Pakistanis labour under the misconception that an Indian Muslim's love for his country always needs to be looked at as an attempt to prove something? Does it stem for a deeper seated feeling of insecurity and hurt from long ago perhaps? Please desist from compartmentalising Indian Muslims as somewhat different to other Indians. It is only in your head and not something shared by any of us. Thank you.
Sania, Shoaib already married in Dubai: reports
Updated at: 1006 PST, Wednesday, April 07, 2010
HYDERABAD: Speculations are rife that the Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and the Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza tied the knot in Dubai before Shoaib landed in India a week ago.
Since Malik is staying at Sania’s house in Hyderabad, it has been assumed that the Taj Krishna hotel has been booked not for the Nikah, but for a reception, scheduled to take place on April 15.
Sania’s wedding card, which has only the reception date, has also added fuel to the fire in the case. The news came at a time when several people claimed that the date of marriage would be postponed.
Local community members, however, have suggested that Shoaib Malik’s staying at the tennis ace’s house prior to the wedding and Sania’s sticking to the cricketer despite all the allegations, prove the fact that they are already married.
‘‘It is impractical to assume that the Mirzas and the Maliks did not expect trouble after making this announcement of an Indo-Pak marriage that too with a Pakistani national who had a Hyderabad connection. It is very likely that they possibly got married before going public with their wedding announcement,’’ said a person close to the Mirza family.
In a shocking admission, a family friend of the Maliks -- Ameen Shaikh told TIMES NOW on Wednesday (April 7) that the photo he had seen was indeed that of Ayesha Siddiqui, who claims to have married the Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2002.
This revelation comes as Shoaib & Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza had put up a united front, standing firm that Ayesha Siddiqui's claims of being married to Shoaib is false.
However, Ameen Shaikh has admitted that the photo that was shown to him was that of Ayesha Siddiqui, but just a thinner version of her. He added that Ayesha was telling the truth.
He said, "I'm fairly sure, the girl was of Shoaib's choice. Shoaib & Ayesha Siddiqui had been friends from Dubai. His father had told me of their friendship several times. I'm saddened by all the things that are happening to Ayesha Siddiqui. Now I've heard that he is to be wed to a tennis player. I don't understand what is happening."
"Shoaib's father told me that the nikah with Ayesha Siddqui was done, just the rukhsat was left. And he even asked me that to join in the celebrations, because I'm family. Ayesha is telling the truth that she is married to him. His father told me they were married. I've seen her photo also, his father showed me the photo. I know it's the same girl. When I saw her on TV, the only difference was that she was thinner before," added Ameen.
