PM ordered Interior Ministry to start a search operation immediately and also asked federal police agencies as well as intelligence agencies to cooperate with Provincial Agencies and recover him soon.Hopefully, he will be rescued soon alive.I mean their family have gone through too much pain due to ST's death.It would be really sad if something bad happened to his son.

Everyday, so many people are killed on the streets of karachi, so many young men kidnapped and murdered -

According to HRCP reports, Karachi has suffered 1138 murdered in the first half of this year - that in a city of 13 million. That's twice the rate of New York city today, or half the rate of NYC in 1990. Yet New York never felt like a city that lived under the shadow of terror until 9/11, not even after Al-Qaeda's first attempt to destroy the WTC in 1993.

What makes Karachi so different? Is it because so many of the murders now have political implications, rather than mere criminal ones? Do you think that is sufficient grounds to make Taseer's case a higher priority?

WTF??? What if the law doesn't do sh!t, you see in this part of the world when the authorities are easily bribed by rich and powerful elites then you can't depend on them to do sh!t!

So get together a bunch of like-minded citizens to enforce the laws in a small area for yourselves, shaming the current authorities to meet your higher standards, or challenging them to step down at let you do their job. What can they legally do about it? Could they prosecute you in court for doing the job they won't do? What policeman would respect that?

i am wondering if the family was receiving death threats and harassment, why wasn't a security detail provided for Mr. Taseer? It was a mistake for him to surrender to the motorbikers, he should have accelerated the car. By now its well established that the police have yet to fully take responsibility for full security of residents; high profile and low profile people are at risk.

all the witnesses nearby should be questioned so they can get a sketch of the suspects

all main roads leading out of the city should have roadblocks set up; assuming they havent done so already

If only his father just accepted Pakistan's blasphemy law and not favored a Christian woman in a Islamic country.

I was no fan of his politics. But defending an innocent Christian woman from barbarians calling for her death was the RIGHT thing to do. Anyone with some humanity would do the same. What would Quaid e Azam imagine if he knew that minorities are being threatened by bigot extremists who only think about death and punishments……..The blasphemy law is a man-made one anyways; no civilized person should accept this so-called ‘’blasphemy law’’

kidnappers dont drive around in late model Land Cruisers....if they wanted to kill him, they'd have killed him already right there and then.

it very well could be due to some business rivalry; since he belongs to a wealthy family with influence, you can imagine the police will be a bit more likely to get the job done properly and locate him.....

I know Lahore like the back of my hand; it's strange that in Gulberg (of all places) something so brazen could take place. I wish there had been a traffic warden or bike police nearby; they could have radio'd the plates of the vehicle, the direction in which it was headed etc.
