that's most likely to happen, lets see how they negotiate the power sharing formula.the mandate is so fractured that only a government formed by a coalition of BJP and PDP would represent the whole of J&K. Who would imagine BJP would form a government in J&K just a year ago
Perhaps, maybe BJP can still win. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the elections are still on going. At this point anyone can win, but predict no single party is going to win outright.
its PDP .. PDF taking a toll on youPDF got 28 while BJP got 25
This is a risk for BJP. If they form a coalition and the coalition doesn't deliver, regardless of who's fault it is, BJP may never win a majority in the future.Yes BJP came second with 25 seats out of 87. Couldn't win a single seat in the valley or Leh.
PDP that's Mufti Mohd. Sayeed got 28 seats mostly in valley.
NC of Abdullahs got 15
Congress got 12.
No clear majority to a single party but most likely coalition would be of PDP and BJP.

Like i said i doesn't really matter whether they voted out of necessity or out of being highly patriotic India citizen. Nobody is here is saying that 99% of people living in Kashmir valley now suddenly realised their "Indianness" out of no where. I'm just saying that Muslim Kashmiris have completely abhorred violence & extremism & started actively participating in Indian democratic process. May be it's just for keeping BJP out or may be for improving their living conditions or may be for some other reason. It doesn't really matter as long as they abhorre from violence & extremism.Again, not really. Most voted out of necessity. Take Canada, for example. Parti Quebecois is a separatist party that works within the legal system, and only urges people to vote because it doesn't want to hand over control of Quebec to Ottawa. The same principle applies here, and the only way I can see you being correct is if BJP wins outright.
Nope PDP will be given a cabinet berth in the central government to accommodate them. Obviously BJP is far from getting majority in the state but it's a step in the right direction and they need to work on the ground for the next 6 years to win over voters for the next electionsThis is a risk for BJP. If they form a coalition and the coalition doesn't deliver, regardless of who's fault it is, BJP may never win a majority in the future.
India should keep its part, Pakistan can keep its part. Let Kashmirs live in peace instead of blackmailing them with Ummah and Jihad. Cheers.

The point for PDP is region-wise vote divide. PDP got Valley, Congress got Laddakh and BJP got Jammu. Being Jammu as bigger reason, if any govt want to handle that then they have to take BJP MLAs under their umbrella. This is a risk for BJP. If they form a coalition and the coalition doesn't deliver, regardless of who's fault it is, BJP may never win a majority in the future.
Not really. There have been similar high turn outs in the past. This isn't so much a victory for India's democracy as much as it is Kashmiris coming out in droves to make sure their candidates are in charge of Kashmir, rather than ones controlled directly by Dehli.

Thats because most of the votes for BJP came from Hindu majority Jammu region(also Buddhist Ladakh region) who votes in larger number but has lesser number of seats. While Kashmir valley has more seats but number of voters is comparatively smaller. How do you answer to the fact the BJP actually won the popular vote i.e. more people voted for the BJP, albeit they did not get most seats from J&K?
