Sajjad Lone, Former Separatist With Pakistani Wife, Wins in Kashmir

. . .
Not really. There have been similar high turn outs in the past. This isn't so much a victory for India's democracy as much as it is Kashmiris coming out in droves to make sure their candidates are in charge of Kashmir, rather than ones controlled directly by Dehli.

But now perhaps the ones in the South Block will rule the J&K.

.
It doesn't matter either way. What's important here is that people of Kashmir valley have completely rejected violence & extremism & calls for boycott by separatist. They have come out to vote in large numbers showing complete faith in Indian democracy.
Again, not really. Most voted out of necessity. Take Canada, for example. Parti Quebecois is a separatist party that works within the legal system, and only urges people to vote because it doesn't want to hand over control of Quebec to Ottawa. The same principle applies here, and the only way I can see you being correct is if BJP wins outright.

Perhaps, maybe BJP can still win. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the elections are still on going. At this point anyone can win, but predict no single party is going to win outright.

. .
And BJP has got the highest votes in J&K and emerged second largest in number of seats just three short of PDP

The problem with Pakstanis is that they live in 1948. lot of water has flown in indus since then
I thought India was blocking the water. Anyway BJP will be in power sharing arrangement thats for sure.

as i said before pakistan failed to see the changes that happened in J&K since 1948. a lot has changed. in terms of vote share BJP is largest in J&K, and their highest growth came from Kashmir Valley.

nah results are out, no one got a clear majority, there has to be a coalition govt. in J&K with BJP playing a big role in the state government.

Who got the most seats? I bet BJP came second or third.

well 1 vs 25 BJP seat. BJP is rising big way....

the mandate is so fractured that only a government formed by a coalition of BJP and PDP would represent the whole of J&K. Who would imagine BJP would form a government in J&K just a year ago

Yes BJP came second with 25 seats out of 87. Couldn't win a single seat in the valley or Leh.
PDP that's Mufti Mohd. Sayeed got 28 seats mostly in valley.
NC of Abdullahs got 15
Congress got 12.
No clear majority to a single party but most likely coalition would be of PDP and BJP.
