SAAB ERIEYE Recovery

Gentlemen,

There are strong rumors abound in Islamabad that Pakistan Air Force has successfully recovered their damaged Saab 2000 aircraft and ERIEYE system(s), using indigenous resources.

Massive effort had been underway utilizing all local resources since the attack, and all final repair and testing has been completed. Till now, the government had admitted to have lost one complete aircraft to the terror attack.

The aircraft are soon to roll out after completion of minor certification procedures. If this rumor were true, this would be a big achievement on behalf of PAF and of their technical capability.

While abundant secrecy surrounds all efforts till now, such a positive development would be welcomed by all citizens of Pakistan. I am sure it would be quite depressing for the enemies of Pakistan.

It is no mean task to repair a sophisticated aircraft such as an AWACS. Even more so entirely using domestic resources.

Except of course the Indians! Your Saab 2000 will put the fear of God into them. It has now become a force multiplier that has completely altered the regional balance of power!

Seriously, it's good if your engineers have been able to put it together. Kudos! But it would require a few hundred flying hours to validate its safety.

A few days after the incident, i learnt that one Erieye was partially damaged....the CJCSC , recently disclosed that all assets are safe while the Defence secretary stated otherwise.....some reports said that he was misquoted.
I would go with the words of CJCSC..... between the lines it reads that even if one was damaged, it has been now salvaged.

Please tell us which reports said whatever on the the record statement given by Sec Def and Additional Sec Def was misquoted?Go watch Aj Kamran Kay sath episode where Senator repeat the same words that SEC DEF told him and Not once, Sec def twice said AWACS SAAB is destroyed and I would be very Happy if CJCSC can repeat the same thing that all assets are safe infront of Senate defense committee

Let me quote you a true version, not a hyped up Lies and rumors of PAF. SEC DEF said The destroyed aircraft will be replaced and and they are negotiating with the manufactures to replace the destroyed AWAC by buying a brand new AWAC. Hence the the Replacements of NEW AWAC is being given a twist that so called partially damaged aircraft has been repaired

Don't go by all that appears in our esteemed media, when the above also appeared in the local papers, I phoned and spoke to the P/A of Mirage Rebuild Factory Managing Director, who informed me, due to the hot weather some plants and trees caught fire in the vicinity of the complex. Nothing to concern MRF, which was also confirmed by other sources.
As for AWACS, it was in one of Kashaf Abbasi debate show that the subject was being discussed and one of the participants was insisting on the misquote issue. !!
