Gripen makes no sense for PAF.

As the JF-17 gets better with block 2/block 3 it will become an equal of of the Gripen. I expect Block 3 JF-17 to have very similar capabilities as the Gripen NG.

Remember that Chinese military technology is progressing faster than anyone else and will do so for a considerable period of time into the future.

That ideea was completely debunked and laughed off on serious aviation forums by people who know what they're talking about.JF 17 may be a good solution for Pakistan but it's no (even blk 2) Gripen

Overall package of Gripen give you same result as of JF-17 blk-1 kindly check thread mention by @Manticore

No.Google it.

SAAB grippen is certainly a very potent aircraft. Pakistan have to Make a choice whether they want 3 JF 17 or One Gripen.

A home grown fighter is always infinitely times better than a foreign made one. It's not too difficult to decide.
Pakistan is not gonna be in war anytime soon IA, so it's better to develop ur self in peacetimes than to buy foreign stuff.
The thunder project will advance quickly if handled properly since just like the gripen program includes efforts and technologies from Eu and US, the thunder is a joint pak-china effort and it will surely absorb lessons learnt and R&D on other Chinese projects like:
J-10,
J-11, J-15,
WS-10,
J-20,
J-31.

The thunder's avionics, frame, engine are sure to improve very quickly.

instead of buying from outside, put money in your own JF17 upgradations

No need for Gripen.........Pakistan just need to focus on its JF-17 and improve it with upcoming versions....J11B should be considered for future.....

Why this thread is even catching attention? Its just ramblings of some new comer. Once PAF considered the Gripen but it was dropped because of its dependence upon USA and other countries. There is no place for grippen after the induction of JF-17. It would be better to simply close this thread MODS.
