Russian rotocraft maker testing lightweight Ansat helicopter in Pakistan

We could look at joint development. I have had v limited experience here.

I misread the Ansat helicopter description at that time. Thought it was 'hot-and-high' trials in Pakistan, but it's actually just hot temperature trials. So I guess Russia is trying to pitch the Ansat as a replacement for the Alouette III.

From what I've seen and heard, there are quite a few lightweight helicopter designs on the market, from the early design stage all the way up to just entering serial production (like the Ansat). By just leveraging the commercial market for engines, transmission, rotors and avionics, many of these designs are low-cost and low-risk (from a development expenditure standpoint). Beyond that, it's just a matter of need and will.

Hey @Zarvan ... did you know that Kazan also made an attack helicopter version of the Ansat?

I think this is for the provincial bodies etc or border security
Really no harm if 40-60 Private sector clients get this machine for Provincial level roles and responsibilities etc. Every province has a need for 10-15 machines each

It will be a best asset to have over congested cities to track down people of interest

++TV Stations, Police, Rangers, ambulance, local government.
