We have been hearing all this non sense, maybe true, but couldn't be able to stop Russia from supplying military hardware to Pakistan. If you'll diversify your suppliers of weapons, Russia will diversify its customers. It is as simple as that.

Russia is currently under massive sanctions from the west , its economy has crumbled due to the recent years oil crisis , its economy has shrunk to half and its currency is nearly equal to a indian rupee.

That is the only reason Russia is willing to sell its tech to anyone interested, its foolish to think they would want to distance or upset its historically the biggest costumer (India) ,especially during this crisis .

upset what? India was buying from the french before the soviet era, France has always been the superior option when it comes to jets. what part of 'India having a versatile defense market' didn't you get?

Mi-171SH, as compared to the Mi-171 "Terminator" is not fitted with basic weapons and is purely meant for transport purposes — for civilian as well as military purposes.

As far as i know non of our MIs were ever used with any weapons except the mounted guns. Also most of the mods were done by us. So we shudnt be surprised if after some time of their arrival we see the news ones carrying weapons weapons. Major role of MI-171 in Pakistan has been of transportation, search and rescue and tactical drops. Have hardly heard that it had been used in direct combat.

Pakistan barely spends 7- 7.7 billion on its military , India spends 45-50 billion . That's easily over 6 times its budget.

Keep in mind Pakistan consumes 3.4% of its GDP in defence , while India consumes just 2.3% .

its sound like you are talking about PAF rather than IAF, i'm pretty sure Pakistan uses second grade mostly US and China imports.
