Russia Wagner Mutiny | Updates & Discussions

Just wow šŸ˜³

What else can you say? , This is truly something out of a Hollywood movie

. .
Whose bright idea was to put to publically announce that Prigozhin will be jailed for 20 years?
This is basically forcing him to rebel, he cannot afford to die in prison.

.
The US thinktank the Institute of War (ISW) believes Yevgeny Prigozhin is aiming to force a leadership change within the Kremlin's defence ministry - but suggests he is "unlikely to succeed" because the Kremlin appears opposed to his action.

However any Wagner attempt to take control of Rostov-on-Don could have an impact on the war in Ukraine because Rostov is home to the Russian southern military district command, which has been key to Russia's war efforts.

The southern military districtā€™s 58th combined arms army is ā€œcurrently decisively engaged in defensive operations against Ukrainian counteroffensives in southern Ukraine, and the command centre for the Russian joint group of forces in Ukraine as a wholeā€, it says.

.
Wagner will be obliterated.
If any of you listened to Putinā€™s speech you will know that he believes that losing in Ukraine means the end of Russia.
Putin will not go down without using every weapon at his disposal, including nuclear weapons.

I have not been following the Russia-Ukraine war for the past several weeks.
I had drawn some conclusions--one of them agreed with you: As long as Putin is alive, Russia will not 'lose' this war. And Russia's not losing could very well mean destruction of much of humanity.

As for my personal angle--I have said before that as long as the Neo Cons, who are sitting in Washington are brought down to oblivion, I would consider that a 'gain' for humanity. I had also said here that the Russia-Ukraine war is a war instigated by the Neo Cons in Washington.

Yevgeny Prigozhinā€™s declared move against the Russian military leadership is "almost certainly an attempted coup", the former US Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor has told the BBC.

ā€œThis is serious for Putin. The Russians are taking this very seriously, and it sounds like they should.ā€

But Taylor, who was in Ukraine last month, says the Wagner boss is unlikely to succeed.

ā€œThe ministry of defence forces have the equipment, have the aircraft, have the tanks ā€“ they have the military equipment in numbers ā€“ to put down Prigozhin's forces," he says.

My take :

I disagree. The MoD may have the equipment, but so far it seems they're reluctant to use them. It's also becoming increasingly clear that Prigozhen is very popular in the military, and if Prigozhen decides to go to Moscow, he may find himself with more troops than he came with.

Nah, Russia's interests in the area called Ukraine is hundreds of years old, far older than the US's existence. If the US didn't exist, this war would still occur regardless.

Bla bla bla nuclear strike bla bla bla nuclear strike bla bla bla NUCLEAR STRIKE bla bla bla NUCLEAR STRIKE (sobbing)

My best guess is that this is a power move meant to gain control of the Russian military and remove Gerasimov and Shoigu.

Rumor mill is saying that he's been given command of a chunk of Russian troops in Ukraine, and also that no one knows where Putin is with rumors saying he may have left Russia.

I believe he also never liked the high command from day one. The issues from logistics and ammunition left them angry.

Lack of ammo led to a lot of unnecessary deaths. Of course he was pissed.

Prigozhin has three claims:

1, the officials around Putin are cowards and bad people.

2, the number of Russian troops is too small, and Russia needs to mobilize in general.

3, Russia has to fight a national war, and everyone must participate in it.

I think he's a madman who would dare to use nuclear weapons.
This extreme trust in violence is the most terrible monster of all. I can't believe Putin let such people be in the decision making circle of a country.

He's already said that you'd have to be a sociopath to suggest using nukes.

nah, he only have one claim.

Putin owe him several months back pay and he wants it.

If all 3 were his concern, he would not have join this war in the beginning..........The only difference is, back then, he was being paid, not it's not, the MOD want to have their fighter join the RUF formally, that's like take money from him. It's one thing you don't pay him or withhold payment, it's another thing to take away his people, which is the way he makes money.

This war was just another stupid mistake in a long history of stupidity. Russians kept focusing on expanding instead of consolidating whatever they have. Instead of focusing on economics, education, technology, and industry like the US or China, they focus on territorial expansion while their people get poorer and the youth migrate for a better future. It's the typical mindset of people there, the same thing existed in Soviet times. Just keep expanding until you implode.
Russians could have just bought out Ukranians and each successive government would have been pro-Russian.
This war was a HUGE mistake by Russia!! WTH?? Could they have defeated a country of 40 million people, backed by the mightiest military alliance in human history?? I 'get' it that Russians wouldn't want to be yet another NATO surrogate but would that be all that bad?? I mean, which NATO country is suffering under the American thumb? The ongoing war has its roots in Putin's ego. As much as I'd like to see the Neo Cons in Washington cut to size, Russia wasn't the right counter to them. Well, until the Russia nukes gets used and we ALL better pray that it doesn't come to that.
The Bible says something like 'The Meek shall inherit the World'. Perhaps in this case, the nations outside the Eurasian continent would inherit the world.

I'm loss for words; this is the last thing I expected to happen to develop in Russian while in this conflict.
This leaves a trust vacuum that's exploitable. My guess is Wagner's chief is looking for a way out as he knows this isn't a sustainable conflict and Russia will lose.
This will be interesting but under the table, it was bound to come out.

American can turn tree leaves into paper $$$ which can buy a LOT of influence and loyalty. You give someone enough converted-tree-leaves with guarantee to spend wherever on this planet and it would be hard to resist. It is all i human nature.

This guy is clearly a militarist and ultra-nationalist, he is in the same category as Alexander Dugin. Such a person should not be allowed to be in the highest decision-making circles.

Now this situation can not be for money, he must have political aspirations.

He represents the Russian right wing, the extreme right wing, the ultra-nationalists.

lol, unless he tries to do a donald trump and run for the next presidency in Russia, this have no political issue on this, bear in mind, Russia is not a democratic country, Prigozhin wouldn't have a shot in politics if he pissed off Putin, which is what he is doing now.

As I said, if all 3 claim was genuine he would not follow Putin into this war. Because that is the same then and the same now, again, the only common factor is he was getting paid then, not now, and more than that, they are basically trying to take his company away, that's like taking his livelihood or you think he is willing to go back to open a Kebab restaurant now that he had done this??
