Russia’s Sukhoi aircraft manufacturers have dispatched another batch of four Sukhoi SU-30 multipurpose fighters to Vietnam.

The previous set of four fighters was delivered to Vietnam in june.

All in all, 12 SU-30 aircraft along with $1bln worth of armaments, equipment and spare parts will be supplied to Vietnam under the contract.

The SU-30 fighter can hit both ground and sea targets and can fly to longer ranges due to a special refueling in flight system.

More than 130 SU-30 fighters have been delivered to China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Venezuela over the past 10 years.

Yes, I´ve heard that VN has requested 15 Brahmos missiles, but there is no confirmation nor estimated delivery day.

The Vietnamese Air Force has just ordered eight Yak-130 aircrafts from Russia, an advanced trainer and light attack aircraft.

India should rush the Brahmos to Vietnam ASAP. It's a very deadly missile against warships and land targets. Once it's fired there is no defence against it.

.
not gonna happen. Brahmos will alter the dynamics of SCS by a big margin. Indian govt. wont take that risk with their weird obsession with not stepping on anyone's toes

What's with this guy digging up so many old threads? And enough with all the bs rumours, if there is no news about, it ain't happen yet. Hearing it from some dudes on a random forum does not count.

sorry bro, but there is no reason for shouting nor scolding!
When a threat is still open and not closed, everyone can add comments. I am new here in this forum, so it makes fun to browse around. There are a lot of duplicate threats, not only this one. Adding info is not going to hurt anyone.
Rumors or hearsays are seen as normal business. I assume, no one of us sits in a government.

Again, pls relax and have fun.

The MKVs that Vietnam has ordered is different from ours. Call it strange but their variant is similar to what Russian and Chinese own in terms of technological inputs. Not sure whether this has changed but I heard this news a few months ago when there was a comparison being made between the two. Ours and Malaysian versions are similar while Chinese, Russian and Vietnamese versions are similar.

Maybe Vietnam would be interested in configuring their Su-30s like what we did. That could be an excellent area of Russia-India-Vietnam cooperation.

To Vietnamese members here:

What does your air force say about the version? Can you please confirm?
