Russia spat delays BrahMos air version

India has no experience in making ramjet ASMs or any other kind of ASMs so its natural.

Its not about ASMs but modifying MKI and the report clearly say that India can do that. We have experiences on ramjet and working on scramjets.

Hey buddy, I know a thing or two about Russian history. Russia, for the last 1000 years or so, has had just the interests of only one nation in mind, Russia. That is something we understand very well. But, tell me, aren't all nations the same? When I hear that a certain action by your country is anti Indian, I understand that it is merely pro-Chinese and not necessarily anti Indian. So basically we are all the same. Russia will support The US and the NATO when it suits them and will oppose them when it suits them.

Sorry I left out "not @ you" instead of "@ you". Just a typo, I know you understood the situation.

Name a single operational one that actually arms the Indian forces.

I think this answers ur question.....

Russia is saying - "Get off me, kiddo. Now you have grown up. Earn your own milk now."

Its an opportunity. Dump the MRCA, push AMCA in full speed and open R&D in new areas. One PAK-FA JV is enough.

MRCA = waste of money on imported metal junk, which will be obsolete in 8 years.

I think Indian defense expert are smart to put their eggs in multiple baskets. Just in case DRDO drop the ball like Tejas and India would become vulnerable. They need to watch out for all scenarios.

Care to elaborate how the likes of the Rafale, Eurofighter and Gripen will be obsolete in 8 years? By that measure, our MKIs should also be obsolete in 8 years no? Should we write those off as junk too?

Almost all these things you talk about require foreign components. He was talking about entirely being capable of producing it yourselves.

yea!so is eurofighter ,rafale, gripen and many other !!! does that make things ineffective ??? 100%indigenious product is not possible .... Ask china for more details or wait they might be tracking you and come with ans before you ask

Whatever happens, happens for good. I want to personally thank those Russians who kicked India's as*.

This is golden opportunity to give Indian talent one more chance to prove themselves. Go for it, before IAF jumps in and brings in another foreign partner!!

Well said now is a great time for India to do it herself...we have talent....just need to develop from within!

100% is certainly possible. F16, F15, Mig 29, su 30, su 35, f 22, f 14, F18, and etc are all indigenous.

Your dribble is pointless.

If this is what Russians can do, I am shivering what a horrific kind of things(dependency) MRCA will take India into.

Is IAF listening or happy to be at mercy of foreign suppliers?

Also, thanks for DRDO source for breaking the inside news to public. IAF won't even speak because it might call bluff on their so-called "intelligent" strategic decision making.

The sad part is that the IAF ran into sign the deal with Russia on MRCA.....we could've went in with the the USA....
