In 8 bit or a 64 bit chip or a 500 MHz or a 2 GHz octa core processor ..to be there is no difference as long as we want to build guidance systems or data bus or some roms but yes to have good radars or super computers to do fluid dynamics or simulated wind tunnel testing we need hard core processors but for that every god dam country is depending on Intel , IBM , spark, AMD, HP ..till date none has showed interest to make their own..not even US... And on top of it if we call about military grade chips yes we r quite capable of doing that as we don't need 20 nano meter scale for that.. It's just like if u want to buy a 1 kg patato from a karyana store just around the corner for that u won't first buy a Mercedes McLaren F1 GT, for that ur simple flip flops will do the job.. So it's all depends upon the kind of job we need to accomplish and not about what we can n other can't do.. So be realistic n dont be such a spoiled sport .. Show some sports man spirit

Disregarding the relevance or lack thereof of the 28nm process, my GTX8800, with it's bulky 65nm process still dishes out nearly equal performance when compared to the new GTX 750, and it does that even after being almost 7 years old, i.e. 3 generations behind.

But before you go off on a tangent, I'm simply trying to make the point that you don't need to the latest and greatest technology to make a good, solid product.

But all that said, this is one thread running on track, and I'd like to see it that way. So if you have any more whinings, please climb up the nearest tree and play the kitty-in-need-of-rescue act. Gets a lot more attention.

The real question should be Why do India require Technology of a Smerch like MLRS from Russia ? Turkey did it in 90's, Pakistan is manufacturing own guided rockets, China has a vast of rockets in similar class. Serbia is producing similar products. Israel has own standarts but Thinking a country like India, producing manny different missile/rockets, where lacks behind of the level of technology many countries reached way before, make me surprize.

Agree with you, rockets are less tech weapons, even Hamas and North Korea are all developing rockets, if a country really want to develop one, generally will be success
