Before that concern, they have specified that JF 17 has good amount of similarities with MiG-29 and that happaned since latter was exported to Chins.

It depends on what role they were designed. A single engine aircraft like JF-17 is very effective in ground support and point interception. PAF JF-17 also has BVR capability. Its RCS definitely smaller than any Indian aircraft gives it higher advantage.

Just because Indians have MiG-29 doesn't mean its superior. Its a high maintenance aircraft.

As a reminder, 1971 war, a much more modern IAF MiG-21F was downed by an old PAF F-86 Sabre Mk.6.

No matter how advanced your plane is, its the pilot and his capability that makes it an effective fighting machine.

The story goes like this... Pogosyan the head of the UAC officially admitted that J-11 is an close copy of the Su-27 and said the copy could never be as good as the original. Even at 300m/s it's NOT Double the climb rate of 254m/s for block 1 JFT, speed does not matter that much even JSF has lower speed, payload is around 25% more not 50% compared to block 1 JFT which is going to change with block 2. Finally and most importantly, in terms of avionics, radar, radar range and weapons it's an even match.
