Russia has largest cargo and troop airlift plane in the world, bigger even than USAF C-5B

If you can afford it. The problem with Sovietunion was senseless mega projects. Best example for this madness was the russian supersonic airplane Tu 144. We europeans build the Concorde and the soviets wanted a supersonic aircraft too.

At the end you had two technological wonders, Concorde and the TU-144 but a problem occured. The supersonic market was a luxury market. Concorde was profitable only on special routes. London - New York, Bahamas, Paris - New York. The TU-144 simply had only one destination: moscow - alma ata. The amount of rich people who want go Alma Ata is...zero. So while Concorde served 27 years and made a profit the russian TU-144 was stopped after just 100 flights. 16 TU-144 build, billions put into R&D. And for what? Nothing.

Same goes for Buran. Nobody denie that Buran is masterwork. But it did only one time enter space and was then stored...never fly again.

People goes gaga over India import 70% of their defence equipment but they fail to see that India save more than 20 time in civilian commodity.
So, that US & EU who commercialise their technology & find financial back up for other R& D project.

The Antonov 225 Myria is made by Ukranians, not Russia... Ukraine will probably apply to join the European Union in the near future if Russian stop fiddling with their internal affairs... The we'll see what happens..

Does Russians have the same number of these? Or their equalients? No.. There are hundreds of these by each at US inventory while currently there's only one An-225 built. With all respects it was the godness of air transport for sure.

Trust me bro in this case Russia is Leader in term of this case and they have enough of this birds to fulfill there requirement

Russia have more than 112 Strategic Transport planes and they have 72 Tactical Transport planes

Why should it? The main reason why soviet union died was because it had too many projects that were unnecessary. The entire Buran project was gigantic waste of money.

An22 is very successful project and even US take technical help from Russia to transfer large objects

Nope defnetly they are not.

Besides that. List me the number of C-130J Super Hercules, C-17 Globemaster III and C-5(M) Galaxy (Super Galaxy) that the USAF is currently operating. An 225 makes it only with greater payload. But there's only ONE aircraft. C-17 and C-5M can beat up any active service aircraft of Russian Air Force transportation fleet.

That Super Guppy I saw is used by NASA....was designed to transport Saturn V rocket sections.
